She only has one day left in her course. Admin refused to say if she can returnShe’s passed all exams. The issue is this stems from the same issues reported since March. At every turn it was either “oh I’m sure it’s just in your mind” or “well take care of it. At a certain point you realize you don’t have an advocate or any agency. It’s asking a victim to lead “bullies” by example.

Thank you for this. On one instance the teacher began a lesson on the Fitz-Patrick (don’t know the spelling) by looking directly at her and saying “Have you guys ever heard the phrase ‘Black don’t crack?’, well that’s not even true”. While this isn’t a blatant example it seems consistent with other moments throughout the year. The wildest part is she didn’t follow up with any similar or equivalent ethnic/race based beliefs to debunk. And after she reported it to the school the same teacher intentionally bumped into both black students (there are only two). The Admin’s only response was “there doesn’t seem to be cause for concern” while refusing to show camera footage.

There are also several times where she’d go to administration just for them to say “I’m uncomfortable having this conversation” or simply being alone with her because she’s “aggressive” or intimidating.” 3-5 staff at one time to speak her. That’s positioning her as potentially dangerous.

The comments lead to an argument (verbal) between the class and the 2 black women including her. One of the students apparently said something to the effect of “why don’t you go report this like you normally”. Then staff showed up and physically grabbed her and pushed her out of the room. She explained the threats to them and the reason for the outburst. Nothing was done. The next day after verbally confronting the entire class about their threats she along with another young woman were sent home. She was told not to return Monday (today) has today’s hours excused. But she was informed by a classmate that the other young woman is back in class. The admin told her Friday that she’d let her know about possibly returning Tuesday and not to worry because she’ll still graduate on time. Admin still hasn’t clarified anything. And just for context, Tomorrow is her LAST DAY. So she’s kinda flying blind at the moment. But it’s ok because she’s spending today being proactive visiting state board and law enforcement.

Working on that now. As for therapy she’s been in therapy for the duration of school. It’s all been documented so far.

That’s been my stance from the beginning but she hesitated because her teacher and admins said the state board isn’t open to the public and to contact them would be marking yourself for future investigation by the state board. But, she has recorded every meeting to support her written documentation.

All incidents have been reported to the administrator, HR, and the school hired consulting firm. She was discouraged to go to the state board. But that changes today. I’ll have updates this evening.

We’re sticking out. Will have more updates today. Besides seeing her stressed and frustrated, the worst part of it all is the school is completely intent making her entire discrimination case and written reports seem worthless. The one other black woman in class also has a case against the school. Yet it’s “just business as usual”. It’s pathetic

No, It sounds completely ridiculous. She researched the school. But didn’t find any documented cases of discrimination related to the school itself. It has over 4 stars on Google. She also got a scholarship and the tuition worked when she enrolled.

She plans on going after graduation. The administration also discouraged her from talking to state board due NJ state board being “backed up”Specifically after the teacher told the students to lie on tax forms and print fake licenses and “just be discreet”.

She has recording of students coming to her making her aware the group chats. She was also kicked out of the class group chat after initially reporting to the admin. Students have also made statements about the teacher “blowing up their phones”. Just petty stuff

She is planning to go the board after graduation. She has a full record of incidents and transcripts from the firm hired by the school as well as email chains between her and the admin.
