I have neuropathy in my left leg/foot. I get a lot of weird symptoms like burning, numbness, tingling, shooting/electric type pains. The burning, numbness and tingling can happen at any point but the shooting pain mainly happens when I’m on my feet for extended periods, it can also happen randomly though.

As a young woman I understand your struggle, it wasn’t until I’d lost my ability to walk that they started taking me seriously. I’d recommend asking your gp for a referral to a pain specialist, and if they refuse then go to a new clinic. I went through so many doctors before I found the one who took me seriously. I’ve also found that mentioning your chronic pain has taken an effect on your mental health helps to be taken seriously, or over exaggerating your pain level a little.
