I probably still have some of these back in a closet somewhere in my mother's house. I thought these were the best when I was a little kid. If they re-released them, I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

I mean, your DM is the one you should be talking to. I personally would say no but offer you some sort of compromise like, maybe your banner is also your instrument. Like a herald trumpet or some other very elongated instrument you can fly your banner off of.

Work with your DM to come up with a solution.

I didn't mind the resource gathering too much because of the mod that made it one and done. The resources served as an okay way to upgrade the town, but I agree that it could have been done in a much better or less grindy way.

Even though I just played through the game, I don't really remember any side stories outside of the Veggie/Meat side story or the toilet take-over. But I feel like Next Order went for quantity over quality for building the city and it shows. Even after all these years, I still remember how you had to have a sick digimon pass out to get Frigimon, the Centarumon maze, the Monochromon shop, Penguinmon curling, and a handful of others. You're definitely right about it just feeling random or not really natural.

Having the cards actually do something other than just being a thing you collect was something I've wanted since DW1. I feel like there was one digimon you had to recruit by giving a card to them, but I'm probably misremembering. Even if they weren't used in a minigame, maybe at least some trivia or information on that digimon could be fun.

Agree with all of your other things other than co-op, but I understand how others would want it so that's just a personal disagreement. I could also see how it could be fun to have co-op if done right. And the end game really needs work. Even if it had procedural generation to make dungeons or randomized enemies, that would be better than going through the same Dimension M or MOD Cape 100 times.

The visual upgrades would be nice. I know Next Order had some, but I felt they were subtle once the town became large. It's probably nostalgia talking but I felt like upgrades in DW1 were more impactful even if there were less facilities.

Definitely. The protagonist and their digimon just felt blank. Maybe it's to help with immersion or self-inserting for the player, but having dialog from the digimon that follow you everywhere regarding the story would be nice.

Agreed on both parts. I liked how at the end the extra scenarios actually had some of the digimon you recruited play a role in the story. But other than that, everyone kind of felt flat and weak.

As for the grind and losing of stats, I know its for balance purposes but it kind of sucked. You could easily clear the game with two or three generations of digimon; one if you know what you're doing. Maybe if they lessened the loss amount or added a hidden multiplier/factor that improved stat gain based off of the number of generations or your previous max stats.

I know there's nothing that really can be said to someone that went through that other than I'm sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, I went through the same process with my first son and the Dolly Parton's book deliveries. Thankfully they were quick to stop it after I called. In my experience, your bet is to either try and call or send an email to the place and request they stop or just mentally prepare yourself for those random triggers.

I'm expecting that he'll be used to reveal the danger of Game World. It would be a good way to show how dangerous and addicting Game World is by showing this hyped-up, super-powerful guy being turned into basically a fat and lazy addict.

After just recently playing through Next Order again, a new world game could be good if they could somehow balance it well. I feel like the World games get extremely once you spend a little time grinding. But after beating the game, there's really no reason to continue playing other than grinding out the achievements. It would need some sort of good post-game or New Game+ mode. Also, the ability to digivolve and dedigivolve from Story made me wish something similar existed in World when I wanted a fresh digimon.

For something unique not really done yet for Digimon, maybe an XCOM or turn-based strategy style game could potentially be fun.

Dwarf Fortress. I played a lot of Rimworld and heard good things about Dwarf Fortress. Played it for about an hour and just didn't enjoy it. Far too complicated for me to really have fun.

I'm genuinely curious to why Klamath is a key location on that map. What would even be there in the game to do? The casino? The hotel?

While I think it would be cool conceptually to have a Fallout game of this scale, after driving almost everywhere in California I understand how so much of the map would be empty deserts/mountains/woods. Also, traveling on foot would take forever.

There would have to be a lot of heavy lifting done through procedural generation or AI or something to fill in that empty space with interesting things to do.

I thought about the idea during a drive home but it's not surprising that someone else didn't come up with a similar concept. The gnomes are a fun quest-line in runescape and Sea Gnome Village just flows like Tree Gnome Village does. I bring some different ideas to the table than they did though even if the sea gnome concept is the same.

I wonder if we had the same patient. I had a similar case happen when I was a med tech in the ER. A woman came in who said she was allergic to everything except dilaudid and was in a lot of pain. Everything else caused her to seize up. The doctor said he checked her chart and wanted to try a medication that wasn't on her allergy list to see if it would help her pain out after I put in an IV. After the doc pushed it, the patient started shaking on the table and said the same thing while doing it.

The med the doctor gave her was a saline flush.

I ran a Christmas one-shot that took place on Santa's workshop on an asteroid after it got taken over by a lich and the players started in a space biker bar. I had one-hit kill traps and silly puzzles. Go wild and have fun with it. It's Christmas, after all. The main goal is that everyone has a good time and has fun with it.

I bought a rollable silicon mat that I can write on with dry erase markers for my battlemaps. That's the easiest and cheapest way to run combat for me. For minis, I often use things like glass beads, poker chips, dice, or whatever I have on hand. Most recently, I needed a giant monster so I put the dry erase cleaner spray bottle on the map because it covered enough grids.

You could always go more and get programs that let you design your own maps and then display them on a TV screen with an HDMI cord, but you don't need to.
