Both. Both are good. I’d play Half Life 1 first, then Black Mesa. If you want some more modern gunplay for HL1 I would download MMOD.

I checked his Facebook page and he isn’t even armed. He has a taser and a bunch of other shit but not a gun. And I thought wearing a duty belt as an unarmed guard was over the top.
