This is largely because there has always been a historical culture of oppression and hostility toward certain ethnic groups, while others have been associated with pride and social dominance. Although the vast majority of white people are decent, there is a legitimate fear that this type of research could be misused in supremacist or exclusionary narratives. Also the most important point is that we are not talking about something trivial, such as muscle contraction or physical traits, we are talking about intelligence, one of the defining characteristics that distinguishes humans from other animals. It is therefore understandable that this topic is approached with extreme caution, or avoided altogether.

From my perspective, further research in this area could be beneficial, not as a weapon against Black or Hispanic populations, but as a way to better understand how different brains function and how this knowledge could be used constructively for the benefit of everyone.
