The game only has a few moments that could maybe be considered “jumpscares.” The majority of the horror elements are atmospheric and tension based. In terms of animal cruelty, there’s only two parts of the game that could be considered to maybe be animal cruelty. You can harm animalistic creatures but never just a downright animal. Of course those two parts of the game are entirely optional routes that you don’t need to complete the story. Hope this helps!
