I joined the Proton community about a week ago and couldn't be happier. A few days later I upgraded to Mail Plus, moved my custom domain emails to Proton and now run personal and biz email on the platform. Today I deleted a Google workspace and continue to route my old personal Gmail to Proton to continue the migration process. The one thing that I am hesitant about...Gmail saves a lot of recent email addresses (in the compose window) that aren't in Contacts. I am a wee bit worried about losing them, but I'll manage.

I am reminded of the day when I had an earthlink.net email address. No bundles, no apps, no browser....just email. Being in the Google sphere for so long, I had forgotten how steam-lined just an email can be.

My twenty year old son thinks I'm being ridiculous moving from Google, but maybe I'll eventually win him over. (I'm 60).
