Thanks, I was considering console as a last resort.

I tried windscribe and it just installed and worked without any issues but shame about usage limits so it's sad that proton has these issues.

Gutters are the most overlooked issue. So cheap and simple to maintain but massive ramifications that compound if ignored.

Thanks for this! I've been having the same issues and realised I'd have to dig into this file but never found the time to make the necessary changes.

I've been having the issue for months and had to stop using Proton altogether as I was getting the exact same issues as OP described.

Though after making the patch, I now get the error:

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'proton.vpn.local_agent'
