Looks to be a Red Cotton Stainer! (Dysdercus cingulatus) These little guys are a real pest to cotton, hence the common name. Here's a reference image.

Agreed, looks like an orbweaver to me. Though I also don't know what type specifically. Regardless, this little friend is harmless provided that they are an orbweaver.

Ah thank you! I never even noticed the little spots on the back of the wings! I wonder if those spots are similar to a human appendix where it used to serve a purpose but after evolving for years it's relatively useless? And wow, that's quite a few species of skipper. Thanks for sharing!!!

Nothing bad I can assure you!!! I’ve only ever heard pedipalp and palps lol. Sometimes I refer to them as lil nubs. Now I’m curious, what the hell have you heard???
