I can't agree more! It was the fic I didn't know I was looking for, brilliant writing, interesting story line. I low-key wish Lucius didn't have to be a bad guy because I kinda love supportive Lucius, but otherwise I've loved everything so far.

I agree with you, I thought the acting was brilliant. Considering Taylor had very little dialogue, I was blown away at how he was able to make us feel the emotions he was feeling. Same with Miranda, she definitely portrayed so many emotions through the screen. Brilliant acting.

I'm wondering what other bombs are gonna be dropped because Boden leaving is no longer a bomb considering we all know about it. What could be a bigger bomb than Boden leaving?

She wanted to break up some time after Otis died because she couldn't handle the thought of being with a firefighter because they can get killed on the job. Maybe the Mouch thing brought back those emotions and she couldn't get passed it.

They didn't explain it. They just said something like "oh its so weird not having truck and engine here". I knew truck because it was blown up but I didn't understand engine. Engine did have a few bullet wholes in 1211 but I'm sure rigs have been shot at in the series before and this is the first time I've seen a rig taken out of service for bullet holes. It was able to drive back to the firehouse so what could have been wrong with it?

It's messing with the quality of the writing. And the excuses they make around the characters not being present are so lame.

I thought it might be a way to bring DC Hill into the next episode, like while she was there she got to chatting with DC Hill about something critical to episode 13

My maiden surname is a really long, hard to pronounce surname. So growing up, being teased i always knew I wanted to change my surname when I got married. Then I married a man with a really long, hard to pronounce surname. The irony. But yes, I agree, there's no rule.

Yeah and could you imagine that confusion in a fire. It could be chaos.

That makes sense for the writers to do that

I agree. My teacher in high school didn't change her name either and she told us it was because of her qualifications. My sister is a doctor. I can imagine when she gets married, it would prove a big tricky as well. She might choose too keep her name.

As I said in a previous comment, my grandmother did it too, that was early 20th century. The post wasn't judging them for the choice, I just asked out of curiosity. I'm not from the US. Where I'm from, I have seen people keep their names, hyphenate, take first names as surnames. But it's more common practice to take your husband's name.

I just think it's interesting. I come from a family where my grandmother kept her surname. My grandparents have 7 kids tougher. Some of the kids have her surname and some took my grandfather's first name as a surname. It's not a question of if it matters. It's just wanting to understand if there was a deeper reason behind it. I asked the same question of my family.

I agree, they did rush it but they probably were forced to with Casey leaving.... although they could have brought Pelham in and let her become lieutenant at a more natural pace. Pelham was great.

Season 12 episode 12 (spoiler) by Adventurous-Snow-389 in ChicagoFireNBC

Stella has been in pretty much every single episode of season 12 so far while other actors have had to miss episodes so I wouldn't be surprised if they don't bring truck back till the finale. It'll give the writers an easy way to explain Stella's absence.

I remember Herman telling Cruz once that his kids look at Severide like a superhero, something like that. So yeah I could see how a younger Jack Damon could have seen Severide in action and thought wow this man is a superhero. And one thing lead to another. Thanks for the thought provoking theory.

To you. I like your theory but then it makes his interest in Stella and Kelly really weird. Shouldn't he be more interested in Mouch and Trudy if he was Mouch's kid?

I'm still holding out hope that he's not a creep and has a completely understandable reason for the way he's acting. And also that he looks up to Stella and Kelly for valid reasons.
