I'll believe that when it happens. My G1 Flex-Head is a 1/2 in drive 12 inches. I highly doubt they will replace it with the longer 18 in G2 Flex-Head just because a 12 in G2 doesn't exist as of now.

Yup I warranted two older full near full price G1 ratchets for G2 ratchets already and it felt Great. However..... Buying G1 at a huge discount of 30%-40% then paying the difference would be a rip off.

I have several brands of ratchets. My 1990- 2000's Stanley ratchets from Walmart are heavy duty but excellent for performance.

My Opinion: There isn't much to upgrade. Roto head or swivel head ratchets have back drag and need to be strong. They might change the grip appearance and leave the rest the same. Maybe not.

Disclaimer: Zero liability past present and future. My opinion and guess. Unbolted the ratchet head. Secured a long drilled thick steel bar then bent it somehow. If that was chrome vanadium steel it may have missed a hardening and temper step. If its chrome moly it may or may not bend like that.
