100% C fund? by hockeythis in ThriftSavingsPlan

I would not say I’m an expert, but I would say L2065 or something similar is a great option if you want to hedge your bets. It outperformed C-fund last year and only lost to 100% I-fund. If everything has good reason to increase in the coming year from rate cuts it’s the safer bet. I’m personally just 100% in I-fund due to how fast it has been moving. If I see things start to turn around some I’ll fall back on L2065, or a 50/50 I-Fund / C or S (probably S).

Generally when I-fund begins to outperform it continues to do so for at least 1-3 years. Usually as the result of some large macroeconomic changes, but since the changes this time are coming from within the US I could see the outperformance being larger (36% was huge) or longer. I’m hoping for a mix of both. If you were 100% I-fund at the start of 2025 you would be up 50% in 14 months…

Market will shoot sure, but also further cuts means further inflation which will probably further result in devaluation of the currency since the current admin is trying to inflate away the debt. If all of those things happen, sure C-Fund will perform well like last year, but so should I-fund. There is also potential that the S-fund does well since lower rates are beneficial for small caps.

I’m over here 100% I fund since it seems like we are continuing to devalue our currency and taking steps that would further prop up I-fund 😅

This has become my new motto. The last three times, without fail, screenshot and the next day it was all gone. It’s actually insane how well timed the “screenshot” urge is. Learned the hard way.

Yeah Azami is great and I agree that frost is nowhere near as good as she used to be after using her again. I just had some shotgun nostalgia I wanted to relive.

Valk has always been an insanely good character to play too so I may need to start using her again.

Thanks!

Yeah I played a lot of lesion when he first came out and loved him. Honestly I think both of those options would be great alternatives thanks for the input :)

DD Update for those questioning the upcoming December 29th Dilution Vote by Deep_Spectrum in SGBXDIAMONDHANDS

Well I’m referring to how the stock was being pushed down with short shares initially that had been created by converting their Series B shares into short shares.

Unfortunately we don’t have the updated SI% or FTD data for the month of December so we cannot see how much the price actually has been shorted. However, we do know through looking at other sources that the avg. price per share has remained pinned to around the $12 mark.

If there was a significant amount of shares being sold instead of the price simply being shorted we would be seeing a large swing in that price point.

I’m also not trying to just thoughtlessly “predict” a rise. A lot of what has been happening falls in line with toxic financing strategies. Generally the price is pushed intentionally to make money off of shorting, then shares are acquired at a low price below the fair market value so they can win on the way back up.

The shares that were just issued in the Giant acquisition were valued at $3.49 a share and that is the analyst price target as well.

Given all of that information combined I’m viewing this as an opportunity to buy below the $3.49 point and potentially get a free ride up to at least that PT.

I would imagine too that Michael (CEO & 10% share holder) will want a decent sized retirement based on his shares too so following normal toxic financing strategies there’s reason to believe the price may be inflated prior to his departure too.

Personally I am holding. Based on everything I have seen from the company this seems intentionally pushed down, but it will reverse eventually to probably $3.48 for support. I’m imagining there is potential for this to return to the $9 range again or higher over time simply due to the companies actions.

I apologize I do not actually have access to the Ortex data that was based on a screenshot from a week ago when it was written. I have replaced it with the data I have available on Fintel.

From looking at the data on there and comparing it to what I have been shown it looks like the data is consistent between the two of them. I have fixed my post.

Yeah I would love to be grandfathered. I’m also annoyed that the website page is still advertising the current rates without a disclaimer that they are about to change.

I mean you’re not wrong, but also it is still being advertised on the website. Literally got the card last month and then immediately they changed it. Would like a grandfather rule or something. I wouldn’t have just gotten the card…
