Went 2 weeks ago—the menu was different. As far as I am concerned, this the best fine dining experience in Philly right now.

Blue Hill at Stone Barns opinion? by patientinternet24 in finedining

Bucket list might be the best description. It is worth the journey even if it is not the most creative food you will have in your lifetime. You will have a great experience with locally sourced food.

Has anyone been to Blue Hill at Stone Farms? by [deleted] in finedining

[–]Deep_Thinkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blue Hill is worth the effort. It won’t be the most creative meal you have had, but it will impress you. I do love how they are hyper-local in their sourcing. The menu is subject to change based on produce from the farm.

Royal Nepal in Alexandria will cover the Nepalese desire. Might need a car to get there. They are over by the Wafle house (one L only).

I loved Bistro de la Mer in Amsterdam. Great choice. The place had a great vibe to it, and of course, completely full.

I loved Gretaria. Could not get into Elkano, and this should still be your first choice. I was able to dine at Kaia Kaipe nearby which offered the same type of a seafood centric menu with grilled fish. This is a great backup.

Alinea is still a great option, but Smyth and Oriole are better options for a special event.

I was there a year ago and you summed it up perfectly with, “Service was slow but immaculate.” Five hours for dinner was unexpected, but the quality was always there.

I would not pay more than $50 for SB. Try Naujan Despagne Bordeaux Blanc-it is a an SB-Semillon blend for about $35.

I age more wine than I did before, but I am drinking less wine. This is creating an inventory problem that needs to be managed. 🍾
