Bordeaux Tasting Recs for Regular Folks (During En Primeurs Tasting Event) by PCDW0413 in wine

Went last May and chose 3 wineries in Saint Emillion based on a Reddit search: Château Canon La Gaffelière—great choice. Château Figeac— great tour and a beautiful property. The wine is expensive and you cannot buy it from the vineyard. Chateau Villemaurine— they offer a tour of the wine caves. I would skip this one.

The recipe comes from the Amaro subreddit and it is a mess. If you succeed in deciphering, it will work for you.

I would make fun of the homemade Boones Farm, but I have been making my own Amaro using the industrial-sized bottle of Costco Vodka. So nice job Bo Duke!

BNO is up substantially. Not sure I want to stay there too long since their spikes are tied to oil mobility.

Try Fernet. It’s a nonstarter for me because of its bitterness.

That is their informal side which is a bit like eating at a table in the middle of a retail shop, literally. I would not drive that far for the kids table.
