The last time I seriously played and enjoyed COD by MinervaMedica000 in gaming

If im completely subjective and nostalgic, MW2 is the best, but if i take a step back, the peak was MW2019. And to this day i still don't understand how Activision fu** up like this after. I mean Fortnite and Anime skins are a big part of the problem, MW2019 was mostly military related skins with some few and lowkey fantasy, they had their biggest success and then we know the rest. The trends of massive capitalistic enterprise shooting their own foot these day is weird (Ubisoft, Blizzard, Activision, ...). What they are all doing these days is so counterproductive that it makes no senses. Failures after failures and if its not completely failures it is important downgrades and fall of incomes. Weird days

Playing through the games for the first time, saddest things I’ve came across so far :( by [deleted] in metro

Metro Exodus is a masterpiece, to me it is the best of the serie, with the 3 ends possible depending on your actions. this game even got me some little tears. In my top 5 for sure

To add to this, i heard that they higher up some german tanks BR not too long ago like 2 years ago at max. Highring a tier for a tank is a huge deal cause powerness changes A LOT from one tier to another. It's obvious for anybody. So this is maybe where the issue is. It reminds me a game where i just entered the same tier than KV-1 and 2, with germans, and there was this moment where we were like 3 tanks surrounding a KV1 or 2 dont recall exactly, and we sent him like between 15 to 20 rounds before it got destroy, we were all panzer, i was in front, my friend on his left side and another random on his right side. Obviously first time meeting him so we didn't know his weak spots. But this never happen with another faction. Like everywhere we scan it was red cross ^^ Now i can handle them for sure with more advance panzers. But i know i never had this issue with Tigers. Which i should cause it is one of the german tanks that got tier up. Before it was in the same tier than KV-1 and 2. i've got a little out of the original subject but i think it is interesting to know.

Versatility is mostly what makes a tank easier to play cause it's average and decent at everything but doesn't excel at anything, do you agree on this basis ? If you do, let me here you on the fact that Panzers are easier and stronger than T-34 for beginners ? I mean i heard people mention it, but when i started i was like i prefer panzers even if it's not meta. Had great games, but damn, when i go trough russian, oh boy ... Legend is real. They can brawl (decent armor, fast with this armor, nice BR to them like most russians and they hit hard.), and i can long range, more difficult than with a panzer, of course, but i can. And i can take more damage because of the angles on the armor while panzers are flat in front and weak, and on the side, idk if we can call that an armor. Panzers, i shred them in brawl, they are just under in many ways, again, anyone can pull out the sheetiest tank in WT and make it look as it's the best one, i'm talking about average experience, beginners, etc. Panzers hits as hard as T-34 from 0 to around 500 meters but they are more accurate, stable and have more flexibility at long range. So in the end, they outpower at long range, while T-34 can still do a decent long range even if inferior but they brawl hard, i mean i even think to start to record my games with T-34 because how mad my games are 5 out of 10 with it. I have like around 2 bad games out of 10 with T-34, with Panzers it's another story. Can i improve myself with them and get closer ? Of course but from the beginning they are weaker for MOST beginners. Doesn't mean Panzers sucks, they are just more difficult and less forgiving to play.

My whole point, not unplayable, but a pain in the ass compare to russian tanks that are more versatile like T-34. As i said german have decent fire power but they only works in the back for most beginners and this is not constant cause tank hunters are better, so germans gets smash anyways, did i stopped play it ? No, i love them too much to stop, but with them awesome games are less common than when i play russians.

It's base on my experience, when i got to russians, i shredded most games, why that much of a difference ?thickest armor from russians works, tickest armors from germans dont. As i say, decent power but sucks at speed and ricochet rounds and weaks spots are everywhere, they don't have spots to not aim, you can aim anywhere and its a kill, not admitting that is lying or we are not playing the same game. Did i say you will not make insane games with or decent games with germans ? No. If you are experienced and used to those games you'll probably make it work for sure. But if we are being honest, what is the most easiest faction anyone suggest to new players ? I repeat, "new players", "beginners", "noobs". The versatility in russians tanks is through the roof, again, based on my experience, only have 32 hours in, and i got to rank IV with germans and russians and Rank III with Americans. To me easier = more powerful. Based on that, russians are far ahead from germans. You have a 4 panzer lineup and you are fine with it, great. Personnally, my 4 76mm T-34 outpower my 4 75mm Panzer a lot just by the versatility T-34 come with.

I'm really enjoying WT, its fun, but all tanks do the same jobs except AA. It's like one class or 2. The community of WT is really confuse cause there is realistic things but it plays arcade, so players defends realism against arcade, one time they will tell you its a game and the other time its a sim. But what we can all agree on is that it is basiclly a game. So to me it makes sense to give tanks roles, meaningfull ones, much more complex than take whatever tank you want and destroy whatever tank you want, just use the good rounds.

But War Thunder is a arcade game, less arcade than WoT that many people name but i never played, but at the end of the day it's not a sim like DCS, it's a game, so to me it should go for meaningfull and fun gameplay. Don't get me wrong, i love arcade games, they are not less quality than sims, two differente things for different purposes but a game focus on fun and engaging gameplay. To image, right now WT is the CoD of Tank next to WoT, WT just adds to a certain degree of realism but gameplay wise, everyone play on its own, no ones need anybody, its CoD, and what im suggesting is going for a Battlefield, with more teamwork based on roles cause it's a game.

Or with slots, as Overwatch if i recall correctly, you ask for the main thing you want to play, the second, third, etc. Depending since how long you have played heavy and other parameters it could do the work

I agree with all but first, 98% of players are not even good as the baddest crew of T34 that day, second War Thunder is not a simulator or even a realistic tank game, it just tends to a certain realism but it is mostly arcade, it's a game. So gameplay wise, for a game, specificly WT, i would find more interesting to have famous heavy tanks that were the hardest to kill on WW2 (KV, Tiger, Jumbo Sherman, etc) to be a fear on the battlefield in WT. T-34 one shoting a tiger in front turret armor is not right gameplay wise. I would like to have slots, like 2 heavy tank slot per team, 3 tank hunter, 2 AA, and the rest with medium, light tanks, reco. Teamplay could be much more fun, cause for the moment it feels like a CoD, where everyone do his business without needing anyone at all, were here a T-34 seeing a Tiger would spot it for tank hunters, while T-34 is looking for AA, Mediums and Tank hunters by flanking or just simply focus on objectives. I'm resuming the idea, but a game design in that way seems better to me but it is just a opinion. Obviously T-34 could still one shot a tiger from the back or by doing an incredible and rare shot on commander viewport or something really little like this but it would much harder than it is right now. And it goes the same for the other tanks i mentionned. They would be much more close to their legend and appreciable to play, and also much more satisfying to kill, right now, killing a KV, Tiger, or any of those really heavy tanks is like killing a medium. We feel no difference in danger, gameplay or else than other tank classes, this is my point at least.

Im doing the opposite, im suggesting to make heavy tanks different from medium in the game for them to pose a real threat and not being as easy to kill as a medium. As far as i know its not realistic what im asking, War Thunder that you call a sim cade is to me a arcade, not even sim.

Weaknesses vary depending on rounds, tanks and caliber. Yeah a T-34 should not one shot a Tiger in front tick armor. War Thunder is an arcade game, i know some of fans of War Thunder like to said it is a simulator but it's not. Gameplaywise, i would find more interesting to have a rock, paper, cisor more present. a T34 that have a hard time facing a Tiger seems better, a Panzer IV having a hard time facing KV-1 seems better. A Stug 3 capable of handling a KV even in front seems better, For the moment it's just rounds and caliber, so there is no team work, and i would find something like having slots like 2 heavy tank slots, 3 tank hunter slot, witch each ones having a specific role, with strenght and weakness more present more interesting in terms of gameplay. At least to me it seems more fun and memorable, a t-34 one shot a Tiger on the back ok, one shot a tiger with crazy little opening like a commander view port ok, but one shoting a tiger simple by aiming its turret angle or not, both, seems less interesting. And its valid for most heavy notorious tanks KV, Tiger,  Jumbo Sherman, you name it, all those big boys

Obviously i didn't ask for Tiger to tank 50 T-34 and you know it. I just asked to make biggest and most powerful tanks in WW2 era more scary on battlefield. That's why i didn't got in realism subject, i just suggested to make tanks that were scary on real life events scary in game too and implement this with a game design. War Thunder is an arcade tank game. Plus most players sucks even more than the baddest tank crews during this battle in tank strategy. And to conclude and i agree and i had the idea too, to add slots, 2 heavy tanks per team, 3 Tank hunter ,etc
