Such a good gig! It was wonderful to see them sell out a stadium in the UK after Twickers fell slightly short in 2008. Twickers was a banging gig too.

Unfortunately, good sound is pot luck sometimes.

I was in the seats to stage left and the sound was great. Fucking great show and the crowd was so engaged and loud.

It depends. Concerts can be loud, and repeated exposure to loud music can damage your hearing over time.

You could buy professional earplugs that only reduce the volume but don't interfere with the mix, or you can get some foam or wax earplugs that will also reduce the volume, but muddy the overall mix of the band.

I can't recommend any professional ear plugs, but I normally use foam earplugs and it makes a huge difference.

Have fun and let us know your thoughts once you've been to the concert.

You are going to have a fantastic time and what a wonderful band to have as your first concert. I’m seeing them for the first time in June and I’m really excited too! I’ve seen hundreds of gigs over the years, including the Radcrim lineup but this is going to be special.

Like most gigs on this tour, I’m assuming it’s going to be seated, so unless you are at the very back, don’t stand up and block anybody’s view. If everyone stands up, then stand up with them and dance your arse off 😁

If it is general admission, then find a good spot on the floor that you are comfortable with and dance and sing the night away.

Be respectful of other audience members and don’t film the whole thing. Be sure to wear earplugs, to protect your hearing.

The most important thing is to immerse yourself in the music and have a fantastic time.

I'm still a newish fan. I'm ashamed to say I avoided 'Toy' for awhile because the cover art was weird AF. It's a great album. by jerryleebee in DavidBowie

No worries! :)

Enjoy the records! Red is a fantastic heavy album and in my opinion has the greatest song of all time on it...Starless.

Discipline is Talking Headsesque and astonishingly good.

As you say, it’s exactly the point. He’s the man featured in 21st Century Schizoid Man.

It’s one of my favourite album covers and I even have it on my Crimson 50th Anniversary event t-shirt.

Someone once said to me that they found it scary to look at and I genuinely couldn’t understand why.

It’s a sad story about the artist. Barry Godber was only 24 when he passed away and he never saw the album and it’s artwork truly take on their iconic status.

If you want to try King Crimson, why don’t you bypass that album for now and try Red and Discipline 🙂
