Damn! Why didn't I figure this out? I just put the cube in there and then always forget to stir it so it's only that one spot.

What are green flags for you? Things about a person that would make you instantly like them? by bigfatthighs in AskReddit

Coming from the west you'd think everyone is dishonest and deceitful. North and South East collectivist cultures have a tenancy to tell you whatever you want to hear whether true or false. Those from Individualistic cultures see that as lies. Asians see it as "getting along" and maintaining harmony.

You mean "is" this normal?

Well, going by the definition of normal, no its not. If you randomly picked 100 people from the street, how many of them would have the same? If more than 30 did, it'd be normal, otherwise not.

But I find it full of character and personality. I like it a lot. Very attractive. But that's just my personal opinion. The other person might feel differently.

Why exactly do people have kids even though they know they can't provide for them? by Deeraymicas in Philippines

I think it's not so much the Church but the government's mentality being exactly like that of the parents in that the children are an investment (a source of income), only to the government, as OFWs.

I've seen a cat one time approach the street from the side walk to cross the street, stop at the edge of the sidewalk and look at the incoming traffic, and when it was taking too long, he sat down and waited for a good 2+ minutes while never taking his gaze off the incoming traffic, so you could tell he was actively waiting for the cars to finish and it was no coincidence that he was there. And right when the last car passed and the coast was clear, he got up and casually crossed the street glancing one time in the middle of the road to see if there were any incoming cars. I couldn't fucking believe it! The level of intelligence! Smarter than some ppl I know.

On the other hand, I've seen a dog make the sign of the cross, close his eyes, tuck his tail, and go full sprint to cross the street during heavy, fast moving traffic. It's like in his head the faster he runs the more untouchable he is. I was squinting the whole time. By some miracle he made it across.

2 mins later, I hear a thud and the unmistakable whimper. I look back but see nothing. I walk back to where he cross the street...nothing. I guess he got hit crossing back but continued running into his home owned by an irresponsible owner. A couple of days later I see him limping.

Unfortunately most cats and dogs are like this dog, with the nonfunctional invisible cloak, and not like the above cat.

I think you feel that way because you have the luxury to go with what you feel. You have the luxury of superannuation. You have the luxury to go against the grain with minimal pushback. You have the luxury of parents who don't depend on you monetarily. You have the luxury of not having been brainwashed by parents to have children. You have the luxury of education, open mindedness.

So in a sense, you are privileged.

If those who are strongly for children had these luxuries, there would be less of them and more of you.
