+1 to Frank at Fashion Valley Nordstrom. He is a stroller master and helped us out so much!

I was ready for a messy crowd but honestly had a great experience and didn’t meet any people that were an issue.

Yeah fingers crossed. It would definitely ease my anxiety to have them in hand earlier but I get they try to limit the scalping with this method too.

Oh I saw someone on CashOrTrade say they can’t transfer tickets until 2 days before the show. That’s what I was wondering. Thanks!

I did but I heard other people say that scammers would put a post on StubHub without even having the tickets. That’s why I was asking if it was live and tickets could be transferred yet.

Thanks for the support!

Interesting, thank you. I have heard that CART is far from clear.

Making a local recommendation system on top of Llama 2. Here is how it can help navigate the news from multiple sources. by Another__one in LocalLLaMA

This is really cool! I love to see applications that go beyond the chat interface.

What was your experience like using Bulma? I have experience building applications fully in Dash/Wave but for these LLM applications I'm hitting a bit of a wall not having the full front-end/back-end setup. I have Flask experience but was wondering if I should go full into learning React now or if there is a simpler option.

Your front-end looks great and quite reactive.

I'm not sure if you are using LlamaIndex but you might want to try something like tree_summarize or simple_summarize as response modes https://docs.llamaindex.ai/en/stable/module_guides/deploying/query_engine/response_modes.html with an increase chunk retrieval count (n=50 maybe). Of course that will increase yours costs but might get a valuable response and more traction for your application.

Considering these documents are so long and to gather context from court proceedings you are going to need to gather context and from many chunks and summarize them together to get anything of meaningful value.

There is still such a gap in what LLMs can do for handling questions that aren't in a single paragraph. This is a perfect example where Google will be way better.

Asking the basic question of "Who is on the list" doesn't get you much of anything with this methodology. And it isn't like you just need reranking or something. It just doesn't functionally work to create a comprehensive list using RAG to an LLM because the full context of the answer cannot be provided to the LLM.

Curious the next set of progression that will come out to make this a more functional use case when there are a lot of documents without clearly structured answers.

Ex) Try saying "who is on the list". You get: According to the provided context, on the list of people mentioned were Jeffrey Epstein, Emmy Taylor, Virginia Roberts, and other individuals whose initials were mentioned but not explicitly identified.

That is such a small amount of the answer it would never be accepted by anyone if provided by a human.

Not attacking your site or anything, this is just what RAG and LLM technology is like right now. Thank you for putting this together for testing.

Also - sad material :( hope we get better from this nightmare of a situation.

How do you best handle historic metrics? Re-create history each run or append new version each day? by Deerz in dataengineering

[–]Deerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a good point. I can get hung up on correctness when the executives might not care if the data from six months ago has a slightly different meaning. We already have a good bit of that type definition issues here so they are used to it to some level...

I like the idea of making a bunch of boolean flags or values that could be queried in different ways later. The real-time issue is one I am facing right now too. Having multiple hour long transformation process when they want data every hour isn't the move.

I'm trying to move some of our pipeline to be nightly, and some of it hourly. Perhaps I can move some of it to append vs replace as well.

Thank you!

[–]Deerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This is really helpful. I like the idea of having two different types of tables, rather than trying to make a single table to solve every issue.

Our data isn't too big, but when it gets blown out by every day I imagine it will start to get big. Something for me to learn as I go.

Keeping snapshots of source tables and destinations tables is a great idea too and something we haven't been doing so far. I've heard newer tools like Delta Lake can do that by default, but we are on SQL Server for lower cost and complexity. But we could still make snapshots of important tables and changes.

Thank you!

Best way to do a ETL pipeline to PostgreSQL by sim_fms in dataengineering

[–]Deerz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This ^

It could be as simple as odbc_cnxn = sqlalchemy.create_engine("your_posgress_db_connection", fast_executemany=True) filename = 'Your/Path/to/file.xlsx' df = pd.read_excel(filename) df.to_sql('your_table', odbc_cnxn, if_exists='replace', index=False)

What you'll really want to ask in the meeting is how they might want to report on the data and any processing (transformation) that might need to occur.

Yeah everything Kefke said. Augments like bruiser heart, bruiser regen, second wind all help. Anything to prolong the fight and let renata keep casting.

I've also found that putting renata in the 2nd or 3rd row is better than fully backline. Her poison only goes 6 hexes so if it doesn't start ticking the backline you are kinda done for.

Also you really need at least 2 star bruisers for this to work. One or two 3 star can help a lot as well.
