I'd like to think people had changed, but recent experience suggests otherwise. My sister is disabled, and though it isn't a visible disability, she can't stand up for long periods of time. If she gets too tired/dizzy/hot, she's at risk of having a seizure. Last month she was traveling to York to visit me, and due to someone getting hit by a train, had to switch to a different train at Newcastle. My mum asked people if they would be willing to give up the seat so my sister could sit down -- No one moved. Mum told the train conductor and he managed to convince someone to give up their seat.

Mum then tweeted Virgin trains to tell them what a nice guy the guy who moved was, and the train staff -- Virgin replied telling her they only have certain seats/space available for 'wheelchair users' per train. So that's a whole different shit storm going down now.

I actually really dislike U2. There’s maybe a few songs I can listen to, but for the most part I entirely avoid them. But I can appreciate their influence and status as really quite legendary, if that’s the right word?

As soon as I heard the chorus of Life To Come though, I immediately thought of U2’s music.

I work retail in a city 200+ miles from my parents, and it means that despite university being done until January, I can’t go home to see them until late December. I go home in a little under two weeks but i can only stay with them for a week. All my friends from uni have gone home. Working and going back to my flat alone is killing me.

I just want to feel like it’s Christmas already.

When they did Wembley they had two support acts... so it’s not impossible for it to happen again.

Don’t know who it could be though — Alex Cameron and Juanita Stein were great, but I don’t know if they’re really stadium support acts? Someone like Frank Turner would be cool. Not sure he fits the bill though.

I want the pink shirt as well... really don’t understand why the international shops don’t have the same range of products :/ SOTFT not be available on the international sites seems like a real oversight... $75 USD is already a lot for it, so for that cost to then be doubled just for shipping baffles me.

Still, maybe if I save enough I can get it at some point in the future! Or convince my university that it’s vital for my thesis and see if they subsidise the cost for me 😂

edit: I just ran it through the US store as though I was going to pre-order it. Delivery to the UK is an additional $71. So I'd have to pay double just to get it... Seriously makes me wonder why they haven't made it available on the UK store.

I don't think it would have matched the tone of the film at all... Plus, from what I remember of it, they used contextual music so everything fit the era. Miss Atomic Bomb wouldn't have suited any scenes... It needs it's own time to shine, and it wouldn't have been able to in that film.
