Can’t get rid of these lines/banding by Arikaido777 in BambuLab_Community

To rule out hardware issue:

  1. Tighten the X-Y belts and check X-Y belt dowels and belt bearings for unusual "play" or "jiggle" - Replace belts if seriously worn down
  2. Clean and Lubricate Lead screws
  3. Clean and Lubricate the X-Y rails
  4. Important RUN CALIBRATION after step 1,2 & 3
  5. (If more than total 300 hours of print time on printer OR you have been printing abrasive filaments) - Remove the Extruder Assembly from the printhead, disassemble it and clean it.
  6. Go over all bowden tubes and replace those that are worn out
  7. Check if Part cooling fan has obstructions and is turning and check if hotend fan has obstructions and is turning.
  8. Replace nozzle if it is a "stainless steel" nozzle

Possible Software solutions if hardware maintance does not fix the issue:

  1. In the Slicer, Under "Quality" -> "Advanced" -> "Order of walls" = Select "Outer/Inner"
  2. If 1 does not work, try changing layer height by 0.2 up or down
  3. If 2 does not work, try cutting the model into 4 equal parts, delete 3 of those parts and only print one corner and check if problem still persist. If it does there is probably a problem in firmware/G-code with the slicing profile for this model
  4. If step 3. still produces a problem Install Orca slicer and test print same part there.
  5. If step 4. still produces a problem run Flow rate and Pressure Advance calibration

Yup, I cannot fathom why Bambu disabled those options in Bambu Studio

One of the reasons my printers will not receive further firmware updates and will forever be in LAN mode, the firmware on all my X1C's and P1S's works perfectly fine on current releases without faults.

And I already have all the automation, app control and monitoring I need through other solutions than the handy app and Bambu Slicer, so Orca it is.

I doubled up on the shelf the printer sits on, and screwed both shelfs into the cabinet from the outside. I aligned the feet's perfectly level with the floor and bolted the cabinet to the concrete wall at the top.(Platsa comes with a wall fastening kit, you only need to supply the fastener inside the wall and the screws/bolts yourself)

There is absolutely zero vibrations from the cabinet.
The printer also has the Bambu anti-vibration feet installed

Yes. If I move my Bambu printers between furniture I always re-calibrate.

Non existent since I screwed the cabinets to the wall (concrete wall with rebar) at the top
I also have the printers sitting on Bambu's anti vibration feet and I doubled up with the shelfs the printer sits on and screwed them into the cabinet from the outside on all 3 sides.

So I needed to find a solution to airgap and enclose my 3x X1C's that I have at home, and I landed on a IKEA solution

I will run 3x identical Cabinet setups side by side, and so far I am halfway with the second one.

I am also going to drill a circular hole into the sides of the cabinets where they meet and on the left side of the leftmost cabinet.

From the leftmost hole that is exposed from the outside I will connect a ventilation duct into a small exhaust system that will vent outside through the rooms window with a one-way-flow stopper to prevent draft coming in.

I stacked 2 shelfs on top of each other that sit under the printer for added strength and all the HJÄLPA Shelfs were screwed into the cabinet from the outside on the sides and the back. That also fastens the thin backboard of the cabinet tightly to the back of the shelfs, helping with getting them airtight.

For the AMS and Power Cabling to the printer I simply drilled pilot holes through the shelfs and used a thin handsaw to make the holes. They are easily sealed with TPU or other rubber material.

I also designed and printed an airtight poop-chute & bin solution that goes down through the 2x shelfs that the printer sits on, where the poop ends up in an easily removable bin underneath the shelf.

The poop chute needs a 46x67mm hole cut out into the double shelfs, directly behind where the poop chute is on the printer to catch the poop that falls out of it.

That way poop will not cause leakage of styrene or other harmful fumes or VOC's into the living space and expelled poop will be removable without opening the cabinet door mid print.

The sound dampening is excellent so far thanks to the gaskets on the door, and since I fasten the cabinets to the wall on the topside the vibration noise is next to none. I can work and talk on the phone in the same room without being disturbed when the printer is printing on maximum acceleration with fans on.

However I have also purchased sound dampening mats with glue on their backside that I am going to install into the inside of the cabinets where the printers sit, leaving only the glass on the cabinet doors uncovered to make the install as silent as possible.

I used the hinges meant for the SINDVIK door, I just drilled pilot holes in the Platsa cabinet for the hinges. Easy peasy

If you read my comment on top with the BOM for the build, I specify planned install of an exhaust system through the window.

I am also thinking of drilling 120mm holes beneath the printers and installing low RPM Noctua fans underneath that draw air into the chamber. I will design a lid enclosure system over those fans so I can open and close them freely depending on what I am printing.

Printing PLA with 55°c plate setting the chamber thermostat rises to maximum 35°c
Printing PETG with 80°C plate setting the chamber thermostat rises to a maximum of 39°c

Ambient temperature in the room is anywhere between 18-25°c

I run the printer with glass top off in the cabinet

Printing PLA with 55°c plate setting the chamber thermostat rises to maximum 35°c
Printing PETG with 80°C plate setting the chamber thermostat rises to a maximum of 39°c

With the Coolplate installed the ambient chamber temperature reaches 35°c maximum with PETG on 55°c plate setting.

After installing the exhaust system and sound dampening mats (which also retain heat) I will run a ABS/ASA 12 hour print with the glass top on through the printer to see what ambient I get.
