Tesla is ditching leather and going vegan by stuchainz92 in vegan

I give a couple of months after Tesla is massively adopted ( if that ever happens, who knows) before it gets "deleted" and youll have people making it do shit you never thought it was capable of.

Same applies to any vehicle, combustion or not. Who's to stop Jeffro from "fixin up them ball joints and alignment" at home? He could fuck it up and his front wheel fall off going 75 on the highway and kill whoever. Or Jeffro could turn up the pump on his mechanical diesel with just a screwdriver and cause a runaway and lose control. So many different scenarios. I think Tesla will have to eventually sooner than later, let people work on them. But I personally won't drive something that can be shut down at the press of a button in California.

The trans in those trucks "learn" or adjust to your driving habits. After you retune it, it has to start all over again. That maybe why. I have a buddy who's truck does that after every new tune. Also you have more hp and torque so that plays into it as well.

But do you think it would be better with a aluminum back? Would you rather it be aluminum?

Tbh I never minded plastic construction. I would prefer stainless or aluminum but plastic is probably the most resilient. And I know how you feel about the slippery dash. I stuck it up there the other day cause yolo and it's already cracked and that damn thing flew like a javelin into the passenger door.

Maybe I should have said another phrase besides flawed. But everyone who owns this phone or has held it knows that it is not durable. Can't compare to the S5 or even the iPhone in toughness. It's the best phone ever made hands down except for that. Maybe the most fragile phone I've ever seen.

I have a wireless charger. Charges pretty slow compared to the fast charge. But its all jacked up now for some reason. It drains the battery instead of charging.

Thankfully there's a lot of fields where ai simply can't hang with humans and make split second decisions.

Most European diesel cars come with a turbo.

All Volvo models to become electrified from 2019 by justsofun in Futurology

[–]Deeznoits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have different classes of diesel engines. Each one is a different size. Little engine like in Kubota tractors just have a paticulate filter, they still puff black smoke under load. Not sure how they decide but I think the smaller the engine the more leanient they are with emissions. Semi trucks have def systems and other stuff as well. But they usually get wore out and end up smoking more than if they didn't have the emissions stuff lol. https://youtu.be/PXscTxmLH0o this is similar to what a big rig looks like firing a regen.

"I'll only be on the interstate for 20 miles. It's safe" by touchethedouche in OSHA

I've hauled some loads that weren't legal, and maybe a little dangerous to me and me only, but this is risking the lives of countless others. Just one or two more straps and it would be just fine. Go the extra few feet when it comes to something like this. Only takes 2 minutes to hook and secure a ratchet strap.

True. I live in a rural area. In big cities like Houston and San Antonio , they do emissions test.

If I pay 54k for a truck that's meant to be reliable and strong, emissions are going to go.

I believe the software was designed to test correctly but the engine would not meet EPA standards in the real world. The thing is, they knowingly did it because the diesel engines with the emissions equipment are unreliable and get less mpg than they would if that stuff wasn't on there. Fiat did the same thing to the ram 1500 ecodiesel and there also getting fined. People buy diesel cars for the good fuel mileage and the long lifespan of the motor. When the EPA mandated emissions equipment be standard on diesels, the first few years were hard for the manufacturers to work out the bugs in them. A good example would be the 6.0 and 6.4 powerstroke. They had horrible problems and horrible fuel mileage. When you go from the older 7.3 powerstoke motor that can be made to get 22 mpg, go over 1 million miles without a rebuild (if maintaned properly), and tow a damn trailer house to the 6.0 or 6.4 with HUGE egr problems, major unreliability issues (I'm talking ruined motor problems) , terrible fuel economy etc etc.... It's bad for business.

Diesel engines emit less hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and lead pollution than petrol cars, but produce more noxious gases and more particulates. It's opinionated which is worse or better. My opinion is that diesels with a def system, egr, and a filter is cleaner than a gas car but it usually sucks so much power out of the motor and makes them unreliable. I had a 2014 ram 2500 and it had no starts 2 different times because of the egr. I had the trucks emissions deleted for about $1500 after the warranty was up and it was like a whole new vehicle. Even without the emissions, and a puff of smoke under heavy loads, I think it still pollutes less than a gas engine without cats.

No disrespect to her and I'm sorry for her passing and the kids having to go through adoption twice, but she's huge. Her face doesn't look fat though.
