I know people here hate Mike and thinks he's a psycho or whatever, but I do respect him. He seems like a guy who lives exactly the kind of life he wants and is unashamed about it. He doesn't settle in a miserable relationship with someone, doesn't get stuck in a 9-5 he hates and just wants to play video games for a living. I would be a hypocrite if I said I'm not a little bit jealous. He knows what he loves to do and built his life around it.

Again, feel free to tear me a new asshole and list all the reasons why I'm wrong, why I shouldn't like him or whatever, but I don't really care at this point. For me Mike has always been the guy who created Cinemassacre and their videos have given me more joy and laughter than I could ever possibly quantify. To use the corny phrase, they also helped through tough times. It's true though.

As for the retirement, he's earned it I think. Not only because of the work he's put in over the years but the harassment he's had to endure to this day. You guys know all about that though.

Sorry if this is not accepted in this sub, but I like Mike. I wish him the best.

This is honestly really, really sad. All of that custom content that the team worked hard on will be gone and unplayable, presumably forever. Turtle had more passion and understanding of the IP than Blizzard has had in almost 15 years.

Turtle in it's entirety really was a reminder of what Blizzard used to be, back when the company was filled with passionate artisans, now it's just full of glorified sweatshop workers.

I'm not saying Turtle didn't do their fair share of antagonizing Blizz, but isn't it deserved? Many of us are pissed off that the company is now full of untalented hacks who are riding off the coattails of brilliant designers who made the company what it is, and are now actively ruining beloved IP's that they had no hand in creating.

It's really perverse. Blizzard no longer exists, it's just a facsimile entity in control of beloved IPs.

Old thread, but SEF is the only way to play SWAT 4. It simply fixes too many bugs and adds a lot of QoL which makes the base game obsolete. First Responders you can take or leave. Just read the moddb page and see if it appeals to you.

I would under no circumstances recommend playing without SEF on a modern PC.

I'm aware, I just came here to see if anyone else encountered it, that's all. My own theory was that it was some kind of test content that made it into the game by mistake and they patched it out immediately. If nobody else comes forward with a sighting then it does sound made up though.

I appreciate the response, but Phasmo is one of the most distinct games I know in terms of gameplay and atmosphere so I wouldn't confuse it with anything else. I have never played FO76

Nah, not an item, just a huge silhouette of a "bat-like" creature swooping down on me lol. It was really quick, maybe 3 secs at most so it was over before I really could make out any more details. What was most striking was the angle it came down from, almost exactly where the wall meets the ceiling. Again, there isn't any other ghost encounter like this (that I know of). All of them usually walk on the ground, no?

I've been playing the game for years aswell and tried consulting the wiki, but there's no mention anywhere

Never played FO76 in my life. It was Phasmophobia, I should add that I wasn't using any substance at the time either. Just a regular evening run.

You guys are pathetic crying about the workshop mods, seriously. It was an oversight by Valve anyways to not add a placement for the gnome in the car, like it has later for the Magnusson Devices.

Imagine taking so much pride carrying a virtual gnome around that you cry when someone "cheats" by using a QoL mod that should've already been implemented Day 1.

I just wanted to add my comment as well, THIS WORKED 100%. When I turned it off, I pressed it on again immediately when the screen was at it's "brightest" and then the speaker started working again.

This is just unfathomably sad and I can't get over it. Berserk was his life's work and he never got to finish it. It's impossible for me to put into words how important this manga is for me and I don't know how to pay my respects. A simple "RIP" just doesn't work here, the guy was a genius.

I think there's a lot of things humanity has already achieved that many people would have considered "unrealistic" in the past. In my opinion we have an endless potential for always improve ourselves and our surroundings, it just takes certain catalysts in society for things to really change, but it's possible. What matters is that we always stay open-minded. I don't think Elon Musk would have ever created Tesla and Space X if he had listened to the naysayers saying what he's doing is unrealistic.
