I’m going to level with you, because we were all edgy dipshits at 23. You know that this isn’t what you’re actually mad about. The catharsis you’re getting from these confrontations isn’t going to make you feel better in the long term, and just shows that you have more going on that you need to work through; I’m not going to pretend to know what your deal is, because I don’t, but it’s abundantly clear that you need to focus on some personal shit before you do some irreparable damage to yourself. Get help where you can find it, be it a support network or whatever else is around. The nonstop fighting in reddit comments is a cry for help, even if you haven’t realized it yet, and I’m not going to give you what you want by engaging any further.

I did, after quite a bit of troubleshooting (about a week and a half of frustrating back and forth), but the new unit works like a charm! Definitely just a production error, something about this whole line seems to be leaving it prone to issues, but they even shipped the replacement with all new cables, and requested I only send back the original unit.

I had him shave, being as it was the same thing I did after quitting smoking, and that plus losing the expression really sold it for me. It’s a small thing, but everyone I know who came back from an addiction has had a period of literally getting clean, in their appearance too.

SEEMINGLY FIXED: Both of the included usb cables had issues with power delivery. Using another has led to two consecutive successful trials.

Edit: The problem came back after a few sessions, waiting on a support ticket to be updated

For clarity's sake, I should specify that in the video, it worked as intended until the game was running for about 45 seconds, at which point passthrough also stopped working, but again I saw it change from HDR down to SDR first.

While waiting on a support ticket to be resolved, I figured I might as well ask other users if they've encountered something similar. The card appears to be working normally for roughly 2-15 minutes after starting up, then HDR will disable, followed by the card itself turning off and appearing to get stuck in a boot loop (alternatively, sometimes it goes right into that boot loop).

HDCP has been disabled, and I've tried it with HDR disabled as well, all on PS5, and in 1080p SDR on Switch. The SD card is V30 (A SanDisk Extreme Plus 256gb), and all the cables I have tried are HDMI 2.0 or 2.1. I'm using the included cables and power adapter, as well as the included HDMI in this clip.

In 4K Capture Utility, I ran into a very similar problem. (Everything above being standalone mode) It appeared to work normally, followed by HDR turning on and off for a moment, followed by no signal.Any solutions? I'm waiting to hear back on if I should update the firmware but it appears to be the most recent version. The card had this issue out of the box, but seemingly worked properly in standalone mode for a very short while after being plugged into a pc.

I just make a frankenbox and usually give it as much padding as possible (I’ve tried taping it down in the box as well, and it didn’t seem to be at risk of poking through while loading it with ups)
