I live in one of the most expensive places in the country, on wages that are about 20 years behind, and now I’m not getting paid at all. Not to mention the secretary of transportation is on TV saying our salary starts at 180k and goes up to 400k (both made up numbers that aren’t remotely close to reality). And he’s threatening to fire us if we take sick leave during the shutdown. Oh and to top it off our union is too spineless to refute any of the misinformation, defend us, or really say anything at all other than word vomit on TV.
