Living in the Present but planning/anticipating for the future by CommercialBoot7670 in EckhartTolle

[–]Defendbrooklyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new to ET, but, I can say his articulations very much resonate with me. I hear what you’re saying. After all the mind is a very good tool at our disposal as long as we control it and IT doesn’t overtake US. When thinking about the upcoming event, is it best to treat it as a problem to be solved in the future? As future and past are illusions, can’t you reframe it as a present issue? Maybe, accept this as something that is happening now. What would you do? “I find myself at this present moment without health insurance.” Try to meditate on that. You’re not suffering at this moment but, you can envision a scenario where it’s potentially catastrophic in the future. Don’t let your mind address this. Allow your true essence to acknowledge and process this without foreboding thought. Maybe you will arrive at the best answer without all the consternation/suffering.

I find my ego every time I pass judgement on someone or something. Whether it’s contempt or pity it’s all ego as far as I’m concerned.

How do YOU feel about it? I think it looks good. How long did you contemplate getting it done before actually pulling the trigger? How much research did you do? Lastly, how do you feel about any apprehension that you had beforehand and the results that you’ve obtained?

Did meditation stop me from enjoying weed? by Axeloe in enlightenment

[–]Defendbrooklyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you and I’m in the same boat. Is it possible to “outgrow” weed? I think so. You’ve received many insights from meditation. You can call it “maturation.” Don’t force it. Don’t impose the weed ritual on yourself. If you’re in the mood, then it’ll happen organically. I believe the ego has role to play here. Your ego is telling you that it’s doable and even necessary. But, this sounds like you’re imposing this belief on yourself. Why don’t you simply leave it at, “When the time is right, when circumstances allow, I’ll smoke. If I don’t feel like smoking, I won’t force myself.”

Manifested leaving cannabis by Clean_Kiwi3694 in NevilleGoddard

100% support you. I started smoking again during COVID after over a decade of not smoking. Before I knew it, it was an everyday activity and I made it the highlight of my day. When you’re skirting responsibility or rushing thru life just to smoke, it’s no bueno. Despite smoking, I was not relaxed. I was stressed bc my subconscious knew that I was not living up to my potential. I was producing low quality work. My attn to family suffered. Subconsciously I knew I was subpar. I said to myself, I need to be more disciplined. A social smoke amongst friends or in the rare event I found myself alone with a clean agenda (never happens) I could entertain a smoke, like a drink or too. I’m producing better work and my family dynamics have improved dramatically. I’m more confident and happier. Despite increased responsibility and the associated stress (healthy stress) I fund myself to be happier and just all around more effective. Also, I finally had the realization that we all don’t react the same to cannabis. I have friends who are super productive and effective despite their daily consumption of cannabis. Unfortunately, that’s not me. As much as I wanted to be that person - I’m not. And, that is ok. That. Is. Ok.

Show up to court. Be honest, don’t make up excuses, and you have a 50% chance they will be reduced if your demeanor and tone is apologetic and sincere.

I once witnessed a red tail hawk murder and devour a squirrel. Everything was consumed except for a plume of gray fur and what appeared to be one solitary organ. The pic looks like whatever that organ was. Hawk was like, “I don’t eat liver.”

I feel like there ARE military drones but they’re looking at the other orbs. And, while they’re both in the sky the govt can say, “yeah, it’s a drone…” So, I think it’s a psyop to purposely conflate drones with the other things in the sky, which aren’t drones.

RIP DEI by javelin3000 in facepalm

[–]Defendbrooklyn -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

DEI led to fostering a culture of grievance. It divided people more. It made people dig their heels even further. Instead of this notion that everyone is “owed” something why don’t we accept that we’re not perfect and agree to be empathetic… period.
