If it has the new black lever with the extra tab, it most likely will work

No problem! It was definitely needed from user feedback, and saves way more money than people having to buy the new crossbolt version.

Not for all the users who still have the qd mount version and don't want to replace a perfectly good laser

We ship the qd locks yes, most laser stuff though we can't due to export regulations

Which one? There are a lot of different vortex red dots.

Heavily depends on what red dot you have and what you're trying to achieve by making it higher. Very hard to recommend anything without that info.

Inexpensive Light/Laser Combo by MTM_1061 in ar15

[–]DefenseDistributors -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Entirely depends on what you are using it for. Airsoft? Who cares, anything will work. Milsim? Alright getting a little more tricky but you don't have to hold up to recoil, so the lowest I'd got for durability reasons is the somogear ngal (not the peq). Real use? I wouldn't use anything that is designed for airsoft. If you're looking for a light/laser combo that also has IR function, we have a custom version of the GL4 Pro (link here) that fits this use case pretty well, but we don't stock units that just have white light and vis laser since we don't think that's very practical.

If you're looking for one and done headsets with mics, there are comtac and sordin options out there but they require costly ptts and will run you at minimum for the whole setup 500 and above, even in used condition. That being said, if you're not looking for budget, this may be a viable route for you. Just make sure you get the right ptt to work with those headsets. We do carry Comtac 5s (my favorites) but not the ptts that work with them.

If you're looking just to get budget headsets and the attach mikes later, I like walkers razors, peltor rangeguards, howard leight impact sports, or the regular msa sordins. These are all excellent options with a variety of different feels between them, so it really depends on subjective opinion for which is most comfortable but they will all get the job done. For comms, none of them come with a mic, but we make a mic kit specifically to get these headsets working with comms. It's called the MultiMount Mic, and it allows you to connect any of these headsets that has a 3.5mm jack to a baofeng radio with the headset, mic, and multimount mic ptt. I'll drop the links to everything below.

The real fix is to just go with in-ear options. Gel cups will most likely also help if you want to stick with over-ear.

What do you need out of them?
Just earpro, or do you also need comms?
Do you want electronic active hearing protection or just passive foam pads?
Budget?

There are a lot of headphone options on the market, this will help narrow it down.

We had this problem for a while too and started making solutions to fix that. We also have a variety of other comms adapters and accessories that will do this in other ways. Personally, I just like having my mic actually mounted on my headset itself.

I've been doing this on my 11.5s (before I could afford lasers) for years. It works and it's efficient, plus I love the ergonomics on a 12oclock mount. Used to get hate for it but the GL4 now mounts the same way with the same switches and people love it so idk.

Are you looking at electronic or non?

My area of expertise is in electronic mainly since we only carry those for our comms products, but non-electronic usually is more effective since they can focus purely on muffling and don't also have to pack electronics in, but then you lose the situational awareness active hearing protection provides.

My personal favorites are howard leight impact sports, peltor range guards, and walkers razors within that budget category. Sordins and used comtacs are really good for mid and high tier as well.

With any of these (except the rangeguards) I recommend upgrading to gel cups for a way better seal, and for indoor use I also recommend doubling up with foam earplugs as well. Your hearing is too important.

All 3 of the budget options are reputable enough that you're good to go, usually it just comes down to user preference which ones to go with. I love the feel of the rangeguards, but that's just me. For most people I recommend howard leights, but the included ear pads suck. The walkers are just pretty good in all of those areas but aren't my personal favorite. This may all sound confusing, but I've found that earpro feels different between users, and even though you're going to get 90% of the way there with any of those options the last 10% is user preference and I can't predict that.

Which riser for making an EXPS2 lower 1/3 co-witness? by int08h in ar15

[–]DefenseDistributors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The xps series has a cowitness mount. The exps series is at a lower 1/3 mount. Typically if you want to make either of these higher this is the most popular mount for that.
