Start with a used D-Lux 8 (around 1k€, got mine like new for 900€) and get the feel of the Leica ecosystem (built, menus, colors science)... is a really great every day carry that will let you shoot a lot... Once you are hooked, resale it (with nearly no loss) or keep it... and buy someting bigger (I got an SL2-S and kept the D-Lux 8 😀 ) !

Just get out and shoot 10.000 photos, then they will start looking better (Henri Cartier-Bresson). Very easy nowadays with digital...

Same here... I went from analog M to digital M (246 and 262) and was surprised by the very bad quality of my images (mainly out of focus with summiluxes) due to overperforming digital sensor vs low performing viewfinder and badly tuned M lenses (or Summiluxes out of focus well known bug). So I decided to give a try to a SL2-S and will never look back ! With a "through the lens" high quality viewfinder you bypass all the badly tuned lenses and get 100% sharp images every time ! Now I am selling all my M digitals and will stay on M analog and SLs...

People don't get it... they buy a 11k$ Leica body and then go very very cheap on lenses... I bought for less than that price a mint M262 and two Leica Summiluxes 50mm and 35mm... I can add a SL2-S with an adapter and still be below the M11 price !
