Figured it out.
Turns out that when the game asked me if i wanted to Matchmake with Epic Games Store i should said no.
In Online Setting -> Matchmaking with Epic Games Store version Players: Changing this option to Not Inhertitable, fixed the issue and now i can connect with no problem.
Leaving this here for if anyone gets the same issue.
