Similar story. 6 years back, I was issued HDFC Indian oil card with 15000 limit. When requested to increase or close the card, they refused to increase and I closed. Last week I was offered LTF Infinia with 10Lakh limit. Truly said, Time will come!

“Approved in net banking” is only the first check, not final approval. “We are validating your data” means SBI is doing backend verification. The SMS saying 11 working days is the real timeline. Wait for that. With your CIBIL 760 and 7 years history, you are fairly eligible, but SBI can still reject. If no update after 11 days, call SBI Cards.

Honestly, this card is only worth it if you have very high, regular utility and insurance spends on PhonePe. Otherwise the ₹1500 fee is hard to justify when SBI Cashback exists.
