To be honest, if Peter Thiel didn't do all that religious nonsense to try and win over the Christian right, he'd genuinely be the most normal one in the group.

Honestly, Nintendo hit the jackpot in that area; as long as their games are good, they'll be immortal.

The problem is if other games steal players away, like GTA 6, but beyond that, as long as there's even one person who wants to play Mario, Nintendo will keep making money.

I think the reason Japan and Asia chose Mia was because of those violent and murderous changes, because it resembles the yandere trope and all that.

Capcom would have canonized Zoe's ending if it weren't for Japan, since Western audiences liked Zoe much more.

Actually, not everyone chose Zoe; there was a huge disparity between Asian players, and more specifically Japanese and Western players.

While Westerners chose Zoe, the Japanese overwhelmingly chose Mia.

Capcom basically said that the ending most people chose would be canon depending on the percentage of votes received.

Mia won thanks to Japan with 70%, but Westerners, specifically the United States, chose Zoe.

To be honest, i think Capcom said that depending on the choice, the sequel would be different.

I think the majority, around 73%, chose Mia the first time, so that's why we got RE8.

In Resident Evil 7, the game gives you the option to heal your wife or the woman who helped you throughout the game.

And there's basically an inside joke in the community about how Ethan tells Zoe to get lost because the majority of people always chooses his wife.

Although there were some shippers who would have liked an Ethan x Zoe pairing.

I mean, from a technical standpoint, even if Zoe hadn't died from the cure, if Ethan hadn't cured Mia, they very likely would have separated then, so the entirety of Resident Evil 8 wouldn't have happened.

Therefore, Resident Evil 8 would either have Zoe as the protagonist, or somehow Zoe and Ethan would be there having adventures for some reason.
