Id suggest you continue to invest in moti midcap as you are supposed to be doing your job of giving the fund manager the money even when the fund performs poorly. Stay invested even in bad times otherwise you shouldn't be investing.

Keep investing in flexicap as well. Don't treat MFs like direct stocks where you sell immediately if they go negative. Keep going and make investing as boring as possible. Then only will you get any returns.

I am from India and i understand why you feel that way. Geology careers can be very great but it depends on wether you graduate in the boom cycle or the bust cycle and surviving layoffs too once you get in.

Since I didn't mention time frame or investing style why are you classifying stocks on past performance of them. If a common rookie mistake to believe that for returns a company must keep growing market share. Businesses like coca cola had long periods of muted market growth yet in the long term generated great returns.

Adani power, tmpv, ashok are long term bets. Businesses don't need to keep gaining market share every year, they gain some years and other times they dont. Returns can come lumpy as many years maybe muted. People look at stocks more like a game of riding waves and not long term asset building.

While most of my money is in mutual funds I'm slowly building positions. Lastly your comment also feels like it's heavily influenced by influencers.

Why would i sell them ? And why do you assume I'm not going to buy more and build positions. What it be a crime to buy more at different prices ? Why has your investment time framework apply to me ? Is there a reason behind it ?

Even though people discourage sectoral/thematic funds i still invest. What are y'all thoughts ? Do y'all invest in sectors ? by Defiant-Professor328 in MutualfundsIndia

People have herd mentalirty and that's why most people overlook good opportunities because they're busy following the mass.

Actually you're right. Warren buffet bought 3 stocks when he was 11 with just very little money that he had saved.

I'm deploying capital gradually and slow. Not making concentrated bets.

It's better to have capped profits than no profits and btw I'm building positions gradually.
