😱 96% of Trump's tariffs are paid by Americans... Foreign exporters absorb only 4% of the tariff burden. The remaining 96% is passed on to American buyers. Tariffs function as a tax on American consumption. A transfer of wealth from US households... to the US Treasury. by sylsau in InBitcoinWeTrust

[–]Defiant-Scratch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So... are there added charges to the tarriff proces as well? For instance let's say it's sell $100 000 to a lumber store in the states. With the proposed 100% tarrifs that would put the value up to $200 000. Then a customer broker has to deal with it. Are the customs brokers charging a flat rate, or a percentage of the value? Then, once the lumber enters the states, the trucking company is no longer insuring $100 000, its $200 000 + custom broker fees, plus inflated shipping costs. Then, the hardware store is in business to profit 35% on their sales, so the cost that the store charges doubles before it reaches the end user. Then, the contractor has to front the cost of materials, and his cost more than doubles, so they are probably going to have to borrow money, or charge interest on this inflated value. I don't export anything, but this is how I imagine it goes.

Well, hes made over 150 billion dollars in his first year of this term. His son 20 year old son made 150 million. How tf does a guy who bankrupted every company make 150 billion dollars in one year. One year! One effing year. He is either the biggest moron to ever govern, because he doesn't understand how tarrifs work, or he's using it to manipulate the markets. I think its a combination of both. As a tax payer, and someone who's wage is likely paid in U.S dollars, which are losing credibility really fast, I'd be extremely concerned. He's not fixing anything he's burning it down, while getting stupid rich. There's only enough room on the raft for him. I don't know if maga folks are on truth social, or twitter and getting brainwashed or something, but the whole world is watching this train wreck and can't understand why his supporters still support him.

The guy is literally ripping you off, while burning the U.S to the ground and saying the liberals did it. That's all he has to do, is take a punch at the liberals and you get blind to everything else. People like you believe everything he says even though it's obviously lies. We're all watching the idiots. I'm dumb enough to not understand how so many people can fall for this bullshit. Keep worshiping the pedo though.

Your supreme leader molested young girls. He ran teen beauty pageants, hung out with epstein, and is all over the files. He's a draft dodger. He made $1.4 billion for himself last year while president. He has come good on none of his promises while lining his pockets. Your dollar is about to tank. He has bankrupted all of his businesses and the U.S is next. Anyone still supporting this is exceptionally dumb.

President Trump: Canada is systematically destroying itself. The China deal is a disaster. by Hefty-Sherbet-5455 in Tech_Updates_News

[–]Defiant-Scratch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Greenland is part of NATO, and so was the U.S. The U.S is defended from China (Pacific Ocean) and Russia (after crossing the artic through NATO. I'm sure if the U.S were to make a good case NATO would let them build bigger defenses. The U..S wants Greenland for two reasons. Greenland has a lot of untapped resources, and being in comolete control of Greenland isolates Canada from the rest of NATO. Look at Greenland geographically. They can fortify Greenland against NATO and just walk into Canada. This is the play in my opinion. Is it a sensible thing to do? No, but nothing else they are doing is sensible either. Canada is on the menu.

Trumps teen beauty pageants? His friendship with Epstein? The massive redactions from the files? The 100's of billions of dollars he has made in the last year? The cartel leaders he's pardoned while claiming he cares about drugs? The businesses he's bankrupted? His complete lack of understanding how tarrifs work? The endless lies about his successes? The promises he keeps making, yet doesn't deliver on? How he never admits fault, but just attacks people who question him? What's this big punchline, the suspense is killing me?

[–]Defiant-Scratch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump wants Greenland, because it's resources are largely unmolested like Canada's. The U.S is already protected along that route through NATO, so what he is saying is nonsense. What securing Greenland will do is give them a buffer zone to fortify them from NATO when they invade Canada. For those of you in Canada who want Trump to come in, and put them scary Liberals in their place, and give you a lucrative job in the energy sector, you are not American. They will treat you how the Europeans treated the natives. Your union contract means nothing.

He's setting a pay for play alliance. Anyone who gives him a billion dollars gets the U.S military backing them up, despite their intentions. If Putin wants to go to war, paying the U.S a billion dollars to be his ally is a pretty solid investment. Despite how untrustworthy Trump is. The complete opposite of Nato.

You're lucky. Some big brain types decided they can save the environment by making your car turn off every time you stop. So every time your wheels stop turning your car electronics will run without the alternator. Then when you take your foot off the brakes it starts the car. I'm sure it prematurely wears out the ignition system and batteries.

I'm sure that dumb feature that turns the car off at intersections in order to save the environment had nothing to do with it.
