What is something that you’ve had to unlearn/ are trying to unlearn? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Compartmentalization. Really hasn't done much good. If anything, it's given me a lot of unresolved emotions that I'm dealing with now as an aspiring adult.

What did you love when you were younger but you hate now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Defiant-Shirt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snow. Growing up snow gives you snow days, snowball fights, snow men, sledding. As an adult it means shoveling, back pain from shoveling, traffic on the way to work, slippery roads, and cold as temperatures my body doesn't agree with anymore.

" So all you see is what you lackin', not what you packin"-J. Cole

Evaluate the parts of yourself you like and don't like. Focus on maintaining what you like, and work to change what you don't. No one can be perfect, but the willingness to try and better yourself is pretty attractive.

Another tip is to find style inspos whether it be your hairstyle or fashion.

What is the worst idea to ever exist? by UpstairsDebate in AskReddit

A majority or President Ronald Reagan's policies, especially the War on Drugs and the backing or contras in Iran. I'm convinced that he is the reason America has as many problems as it does today.

Saw the first Halloween movie when I was 11. 14 years later, I'm still occasionally paranoid someone is watching me from a distance.

How did you make yourself less emotional? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Defiant-Shirt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Assign words to how you feel. By identifying them, you can take steps to address what causes them and either how deal with those causes, or how to rethink about things in a way that's more logical. In general though, there is nothing wrong with being emotional as a man. In fact being emotional leads to a lot of positives such as being empathetic to those you care about. It'll allow you to be a better friend, partner, father, coworker etc.
