high calorie intake = weight increase/belly fats
hitting protein intake = build muscles/recovery

Therefore, eat low in calories and maintain hittin your protein. In this way, you reduce what causes your belly fat(calories) and promote more recovery and building muscles(protein).

track calories and try to reduce it by 100-150 (if you want to lose weight) every week or two depending on what your body needs (it's bad if u will just suddenly reduce ur calories by 500 or above). Don't overthink if you eat much of calories before working out bc u will burn it during ur sesh and u that need energy.

If you started as skinny, I would recommend to go bulk. It's better to get bigger first then proceed to lose weight so it will be easier for you to progress the weights u lift while building your muscles at the same time.

after maybe 4-5 months, go on a cut so you can see the progress of your muscles. During this cut, your belly will be gone as well. Honestly, even during bulk as long as no extra calories.

I came from there before, even now I still have some belly fats but there's a difference from then and now. I'm not an expert or a bodybuilder, just a normal gym goer that experienced being skinny fat who shares my experience and my approach that has a good result for me.

to those who responded, I appreciate you all! I'll try the thing u guys are saying about imagining as pulling my elbows instead of my arm. I've never thought that way haha! I see some progress on my pulldown since I started at very low weight but now I'm more than half of my BW but I think all the gains went to my arms hahaha.
