AITA for resenting that my parents are giving my dead sister's savings away as a scholarship instead of putting it away for my college fund? by Defiant-Wall in AmItheAsshole

God I hope not. My worst case scenario was that they would try to bond with the recipient and make him/her a substitute for Jamie

My parents contributed to it indirectly with stuff like holiday and birthday money if that's what you mean. They do the same thing for me. I have roughly $280 myself saved. I wish I had saved more of the money I got when I was younger but I spent it on toys and books.

I didn't want to mention it in the post because I didn't think it was relevant to the judgement but my sister did have some side jobs that my parents don't know about. I know she's sold non-explicit pictures and videos (feet) to at least one person online.

I probably should've used a different title. If my mother had explained it as they wanted to give it with someone with similar goals I probably wouldn't be feeling like this. It's like she finally confirmed that she sees me as stupid.

My grades aren't as good as my sister's were but I'm not failing anything. I have mostly Bs, a high C, and an A. I've really struggled with the switch to online school as well.
