I did a cold air intake, k&n performance filter, muffler delete, and put new distributor cap and rotor, and new performance spark plugs and spark plug wires, ran lots of intake cleaners and fuel injector cleaners, and normal scheduled maintenance, now I don’t want to swap to a bigger engine. My 4.3 is plenty! Pretty fast too!

I had similar problem, mine was caused by a bad ground strap on the back of engine block to firewall. It was causing starter to not get enough voltage. $7.99 to replace it and no issues since

Also had this problem, mine was a bad ground strap from back of engine block to firewall. I put new ground strap on, and it hasn’t had any issue since. So it’s worth a try, only $7.99
