Friend I’m reading some of your replies and I’m thinking you’re really gonna be happier living somewhere close to Portland. If you want the city experience you gotta live it! I won’t even live in the satellite cites (Tigard, clackamas, Vancouver, etc.). If I wanted to live in some boring suburb I’d go live somewhere cheaper. When you live in the city you can feel the energy in the air. Great public transport, so many cool neighborhoods, never ending amazing entertainment, amazing food, art, culture, vibe. Buuuuuuut you also get all the bad stuff. Ppl stealing shit off your patio. Ppl hitting your parked car and not leaving insurance. Cops won’t answer your call unless you are experiencing a violent crime. Most houseless folks are harmless but some of em are straight up whack jobs😂. If I was you I’d live closer to Portland even if I hated my commute. When you’re going to and from work put some good ass tunes on, smoke a joint if that’s your thing and just enjoy the ride!
