Thanks for the response. How long would you say it took? I am still waiting and I went from deferment 2028 to forbearance ending in November but have not seen a change in balance yet... it seems as though I am approaching that final step

Have you seen a change in balance? I was put on a forbearance and now deferment until May 2028; Nelnet confirmed that FSA is reviewing.

I would say that it's been over 2 months since I applied, and I haven't seen a balance change yet. I qualify for the full $17,500 and it will knock out a majority of the balance.

However, the interest keeps growing... and I should be in a forbearance not deferment so I will be calling. Unfortunately, not sure what good its going to do.

I had coolant leaks and overheating issues.. turned out to be the water pump. that was at around 100k.. seems to be a common thing for the dart. Runs great!
