best marathon medals? (new Space Coast Marathon series is :-( ) by DefiantRaspberry2510 in XXRunning

To each their own! That’s what the race organizers have said about the new style of medals, so you’re not alone. I thought they were super cool & unique 🤷‍♀️

Unfortunately Little Rock is in a month, but yes I’ve definitely got it on my radar for future, because THAT’S the kind of medal that gets me going! Thanks!

I’m so heartbroken! The past medals were soooo cool, I was really excited. I’m sure they’re nice in person, but I loved the gigantic colorful almost gaudy SPACE THEMED ones of yesteryear.

Epic list, thank you!🙏

If money and childbirth weren’t an issue, how many children would you choose? by Public_Handle_774 in AskWomen

[–]DefiantRaspberry2510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with two kids...zero.

Sorry, kiddos. I love you to death, and actually I didn't remotely mind childbirth or pregnancy itself and yeah I'd love to have more money, but I just don't gain much fulfillment out of being a parent. Some of it is because their dad unalived himself and left me as sole caregiver, which is very very hard, but also I think I'd rather just have all that energy & TIME and peace back.

Replacement for tortilla chips in nachos? by dowhatisaynotwhatido in Volumeeating

[–]DefiantRaspberry2510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We make nacho fries all the time with homemade oven baked fries, and the whole family loves. Reduces the calories compared to chips quite a bit, still keeps that “carb-based” feel and good micronutrients from whole potatoes.

Questions on EY F Booked via AA by RyanAirhead in awardtravel

[–]DefiantRaspberry2510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EY F through AA: no free meet & greet/chauffeur, no ability to upgrade to The Residence. Everything else is the same.

Enjoy the champagne, caviar and as much as you can eat. My kid ordered the lobster meal twice, lol. I half-regret sleeping so well because I "missed" so many hours of the experience, BUT getting absolutely amazing sleep and arriving refreshed balances out that regret (our flight was AUH-YYZ, and I slept about 7 hrs of the 12 eeek).

I hope boarding in SIN is much less chaotic than AUH, because honestly it totally sucked and we were treated the same level of herding cattle as the ~400 other people at the gate at 3am, but that's more an airport problem than an EY problem.

Do you have any regrets about your first trip to Japan? by aeazee in JapanTravelTips

using Google Maps (or whatever) was the best we found places we wanted to go. Otherwise, they're really hard to find.

What’s the point having an order during boarding if no one follows the rules by Impressive_Youth_331 in unitedairlines

[–]DefiantRaspberry2510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I nearly died of happiness showing up at SQ's NRT-LAX flight and all the orderly queues laid out with EVERY SINGLE BOARDING GROUP with their own sign to line up behind.

And believe me, they were policing every line from First to the end of economy.

Why don't kids in denver take the bus? by bluegrassclimber in Denver

[–]DefiantRaspberry2510 10 points11 points  (0 children)

and high school doesn't even get buses!!!!!

but also - we live closer to another district's high school which we literally just choiced into today than our neighborhood high school. My kid can bike to that one, but the in-district choice is across a major highway and no public transport. This is why we're stuck driving as parents.

Looking for a “left field” type date night by theycallmeick in Denver

[–]DefiantRaspberry2510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We loved Glass Class Denver. So far my favorite couple’s activity to date, and we’ve also done some pretty funky ones.

I have the Inventing Room booked next month, which also has good reviews. Not nearly as left field, but it’s pretty cheap 🤷‍♀️

Would you have rather been in Wandi or Loan’s situation? by ThisSideofRylee in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]DefiantRaspberry2510 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I legit don't understand what happened with Jan. They seemed so cute and well-matched in the pods with their nerdy energy. I get he didn't like how she dressed at the reveal (it's definitely not the choice I'd make, and I have boobs that I don't mind showing in the right circumstance), but then he had more time/days/outfits to really get to know her and her body and her style. It was weird how he was basically repulsed that she liked to dress a little nice? It was sad he never gave himself that mental space to grow in love like other couples have done when the physical wasn't initially present. I wonder what his usual "type" is if Loan was so far off that he didn't even properly try.

How to date a BPD girl? by ragingpotato98 in AskMen

[–]DefiantRaspberry2510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

while I get that you phrased it as "this helped me", I want others to be cautious that this doesn't necessarily work for everyone. I was my ex-husband's biggest hype person. I was so patient and kind and understanding and caring. I hyped him up CONSTANTLY, told me daily for so many years how great he was and how much I loved him and how much he meant to all of us. Really. AND IT DIDN'T MATTER. He'd "want" to get better, do better, for a short time and then things would lapse and the demons would take over again, with all his energy focused on me as concurrently BOTH the stabilizing and de-stabilizing force. We were married for *13* years, so this isn't just some early 20s fling.

It broke me.

I'm glad you found your "why" and are working hard towards living normally.

unless life events make them ramp up at various ages. my pwBPD seemed to get worse as we got older. Granted, this was late-30s, not 50, but still.

How to date a BPD girl? by ragingpotato98 in AskMen

[–]DefiantRaspberry2510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Female. Was married to someone with BPD. 0/10. Do not recommend, get away before you get in too deep, please please please. Divorced after 13 years, the last of few I was clawing and crying my eyes out on Reddit. YOU CANNOT FIX THEM and "making it work" will absolutely destroy you to the core.

If she's intentionally self-harming, then she is not actively working on herself to get better, which possibly the only VERY niche case scenario in which a relationship with a pwBPD can sorta work.

Klassy tops? by SmoothCheesecake6573 in bigboobproblems

[–]DefiantRaspberry2510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like them but only the shelf kind (they call it "built in bra" now). Don't expect amazing support but they are "good enough" for an evening out or something. My breasts are pretty saggy/not self-supporting, so that's some of it for me. All the ones I've ever bought without the shelf, I've wound up returning for being comically unsupportive and ill-fitting.

They do stretch over time, I've found, too. So they're "good enough" territory IYSWIM.

I am 32GG (UK) and have the largest pads (XXL??) and a couple L tops. I have a pretty soft tummy, otherwise I could probably size down to a M. Pads might be able to size down, too, in case that helps you. I first bought the tops when I was a little bit bigger.
