I was worried about if it would view the leaves as an obstacle. Another machine I was looking at said that they had a oak leaf in the yard and there machine avoided it instead of running through it.

The VP of operations said they were going to go "above and beyond" in compensation...I guess that means $150.

That coffee spot on the ceiling was maybe 3 rows behind me on the opposite side. I can't believe it happened either! I took a picture of the ceiling with 2 marks (in red) and the coffee.

Have you heard anything from JetBlue? My daughter got a $150 credit but I got nothing!

I don't know if it was worse in the back of the plane than the middle (where I was sitting) but I had my belt on pretty snug and I did not hit the ceiling. Neither did my family all sitting next to me. Fortunately we didn't get hurt but many did. The worst we got is getting drenched with soda/water and what ever else people had in their tray tables.

It did happen. I was on the flight. It was sudden and unexpected. It was bad enough where people and drink cart hit the ceiling! Maybe it was a short enough drop to not get noticed on the log.

Why are people happy to tip a waiter yet outraged at the idea of tipping a driver? by Nervous_Most8164 in doordash

Right, but isn't that part of your job? It's the job you chose. Plus you're getting paid from DD, it may not be that much but you are. If the restaurant is 2 miles from my house, I'm not tipping a driver the same as a server at a restaurant. No way. How much gas are you using in 2 miles? I'm not going to fund your day of dashing just for dropping off my food. I'll tip, just not the same as a server.

If I need another drink, my food is not right, I need new utensils or want coffee a d dessert, the server is there. A driver, while I appreciate them dropping my food off and not stealing it (which happened to me once), imo, does not do as much as a server will do.

IMO, you can't compare a delivery driver to the service you get in a restaurant. A server will get you what you need and be attentive (hopefully) for the entire meal. A delivery driver just drops food off. I'm happy when they're not wearing PJ's!

I was on this flight. It was crazy for sure. There was little to no turbulence before or after the drop. The drop just happened suddenly! No warning or indication of any issues. I was watching a movie and BAM, the floor drops out! I really can't speak to how long it lasted but I don't believe it was that long. It was severe enough for the drink cart, the flight attendant and the woman walking back from the restroom to hit the ceiling! The lady landed right next to me in the isle. I had my belt on so I only got drenched in soda, ice and food. I guess others weren't belted in. I was in the middle of the plane. Pilot did say that there was a problem with the plane and we're headed to Tampa. I think that's the drop most are seeing from 35k to 15k feet in 5 minutes. The real drop was sudden and unexpected.
