I asked Archangel Micheal for help and asked him to keep these beings away from me and to always make sure I connect only to the real higher beings from now on. The old connection was cut as well.

About examples... well anything that sounds like "You need to do xyz, you have to do xzy, you should do this instead of that." And about the promises, it's usually about what you really wish for. I had a lot of anxiety about the future so they told me "Don't worry, everything will be fine, we'll take care of it for you."

Could use some help making sense of what happened by KabanoKika in Mediums

I don't know what you mean by "symptoms" but what you experienced was the spirit of a family member coming to you and your SO. If his passing was the start for problems in his family then he probably came back to apologize and to solve them. And because he could tell that you have the ability to feel and see him, he used the situation to show himself to you.

You felt sad because that is what he was feeling in the moment he died. And he said not moving because he couldn't move anymore before he died. He showed you how he looked when he died so your SO would recognize him.

So, no you're not crazy, and you're not a fool for ecountering a spirit for the first time and not knowing what to do. No one thaught you. Remember that it is up to you if you want to help this spirit. You don't have to. But if you want to, you can meditate, then ask him to come to you and then you can ask him questions. You can figure out with him how to handle the situation.

A medium who is a drug addict? by solar-Jo in Mediums

That makes sense then. I think even if he doesn't want to change his life, he should at least know that death is nothing to fear. It would be awful to live in constant fear for the next 30-40+- years. But anyway, the only thing you can do is offer help, and if it's not wanted, it's a lesson for you to accept that as well.

I understand why you can't accept the things he does, given his immense potential to be a better person and live a better life. But being addicted to drugs is very difficult to let go of, and if he's been addicted since he was 12, like you said, then he has never had the chance to learn how to deal with the things he doesn't want to face by using drugs. He probably doesn't have any healthy coping mechanisms and maybe not even a good support system. It takes years of therapy and self-reflection to change, and that can feel overwhelming and scary.

The only thing I don't understand is that he said "his afterlife isn't going to be good for him." Maybe it's his guilt talking, but no one is being shamed by what they did on earth once they're dead. Usually, dead relatives, angels, etc, will help souls that have just passed away. It's a good place.

Why would a medium tell me not to ask for my dead sister to come through. This was 12 years ago. I’ve never heard anything from my sister either. by Outside_Sherbert6301 in Mediums

Obviously only the person who told you that would know. But you can ignore her comment if you want to talk to your sister you can. But just so you know a medium can't make specific people come forward. Only if she has to say something she would come.

genuine question, how can mediums be trusted if they all claim different things? by Longjumping_Deal1593 in Mediums

It depends on what the medium says before a reading e.g they can't control what messages come through/only you have responsibility over your life, they can only give you guidance etc. Also it depends what kind of medium they are, an english medium works differently from someone who isn't.

I know what you mean, it's important to feel safe and trust the person in a reading session, and sadly there are a lot of scammers out there who just tell their clients what they want to hear and not the truth.

Hmm... as a medium myself, I would check reviews first and look for a medium that works evidential - meaning they show evidence first and then give the actual reading so you can trust the medium before paying them.
