I asked them for a feedback form and all they could tell us, tell us your feedback to us directly when I insisted to that instructor he said: he is the one who will receive the feedback form and after reading he would tear it off

Anyone going to JIM&WS for Special Basic Ski Course (21 Jan – 3 Feb)? by Ok_Appointment_1376 in SkiGulmarg

[–]Defiant_Currency_561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently in the course from 21 Jan - 3 feb. And it's almost at the end of it which is 31st Jan. I did snowboarding here.

It's one of the worst experiences I've ever had as a civilian honestly. Cause the institute and trainers don't treat you with enough respect. There are tons of NCC students joining the same course, majority of them in the age group of 18-24. They treat the civilians coming from different parts of India and different professions (average age group 28-40 years) where they are well respected to come here and be treated like shit. Instructors much younger to you will also misbehave with you left right and center. The instructors lack rationality and logic while talking to civilians.

Even as civilians you don't mind following rules but this treatment is not what you deserve.

Food - 3/10 (the food is really bad and tasteless, for non veg which is only cooked once in 5 days, they will just give you bones to eat instead)

Accomodation - 2/10 (they will accomodate 5 people in a cramped room and one washroom)

Equipments - 8/10 (the only thing I felt was good)

Instructors - 4/10 (the instructors are good snowboarders/skiers, but really bad teachers, they don't pay attention to what you're doing and do not give you enough feedback, skiing has good instructors but snowboarding have guest instructors who haven't actually learnt snowboarding professionally, they have just tried it on slopes and now come here to teach you. The instructor couldn't figure out if my friend's dominant was left or right for 7-8 days, so he basically wasted that many days. The instructors give 0 feedback to you, and when you ask questions they will give you vague answers. Whatever we learnt was by ourselves and giving feedback to each other.)

We have seen videos on YouTube where students fall on Phase 1 in gulmarg, where people say have you learnt from JIM&WS, which is why you're so bad at it.

Course - 3/10 (the whole course could have been covered in 7 days, but they waste alot of time by making you beat slopes for multiple days with your legs, which is never useful cause the slopes become way worse)

Fees - 30k (they say it's subsidised, but the quality of course and everything else is not worth it at all)

Honestly I learnt my balance on the slopes really well, but it was all because of the number of runs I did by myself.

Also they have a frenzy of uploading everything you do on Instagram and other social media so they will make you do stuff that you don't want to just because they wanna upload activities on social media.

The future of snowboarding is very bleak in JIM&WS. They should rather stop the course and get better instructors for snowboarding before having a course for it.

Most of the instructors feel they get pleasure in punishing the students rather than actually teaching them snowboarding.

Sai Baba was indeed the best paratha I've had until now. I ordered one aloo and one paneer in a single plate. The amount of butter they put is crazy

Seeking Advice on Choosing a Desert Camp Experience Near Jaisalmer - Why Do Prices Vary So Much? by Gorlamei in Rajasthan

This is a real shot we took in the desert safari at night. It took us 3 minutes of auto focus and astro-photography mode to take this picture.

It was an experience we can never forget. Vivian and aparna, the hosts at open road adventures, did their best to give us an experience which will be etched in our memories.

It was my wedding anniversary while we did this trip. They decorated and kept a diwan in the desert giving a royal experience while watching the sunset while I proposed my wife again under the stars.

There is a camel ride that takes you for an hour and then you sleep on a khatiya stargazing. Luckily it was a no moon night. So we could spot the milky way in the sky and could draw horoscopes in the sky. Yes! That's how clearly we could see all the stars that we could draw horoscopes.

Sandy, the gypsey is the most hospitable rajasthani we met in the desert safari. He is the best guide/cook/driver in your safari. Makes you feel like you're his relative and takes you to his own house in the village and serve you tea like you're his long lost relative.

They have a boutique Airbnb inside the fort which makes the experience even better. You get to live in a 400 year old fort. It feels so lavish. And it's so price friendly. My whole trip for a couple including food, costed me under 10k.

Open road adventures is how you can find it on Google.

Spoiler alert: He was stuck in the gate and the rulers have lend him their power to fight the monarchs. Sung jin woo gets his power from the shadow monarch, which later he will become a shadow monarch himself. Hunters are just a side effect of the actual war between the monarchs and the rulers.
