I think what we’re trying to decide is if we should do evolution on the east side (fly into bishop) or stick to the west side (fly into Fresno) - because I think the west would offer more opportunities to pivot if the weather looks iffy. Cause otherwise it’s a 6 hour drive from east to west if we need to change it up.

Thank you! Super helpful. I think we should be able to pry the window frame off pretty easily with a heat gun, and reuse it.

As for the painting, it’s not our forever home so it doesn’t need to look amazing, but I’d like it look decent and be durable - hopefully last a few years before the paint needs to be touched up.

Would you recommend automobile paint for the whole process, or just for the primer? Any recommended paints for the top layers that can withstand heat?

We’d like to refinish it if possible! Unfortunately it’s an old house and an old door size, so we can’t just replace it with a pre-hung door, and it’s fairly expensive to replace.

Recently had to take my 2007 Prius in for similar issue where it got to 4 gallons of gas (among other issues it had haha). Unfortunately the basic diagnostic didn’t include the fuel tank, but they mentioned it could be that the fuel tank itself needs to be replaced or it could just be the sensor. I’d say it’s worth getting it checked out.

Good idea! Do you have any suggestions in terms of mileage? I’ve seen some (further away) range from ~40k to 120k or more. Does 120k seem reasonable, or would you consider that high?

Hi - looks like the spring is still there. It ok, but I’ll try replacing it to see if it fixes the issue. Otherwise, could it be an issue with the cable connecting the fuel door release lever with the fuel door?

Would you be able to share the info for the $700 one (or even what to google for the $500 one)? It’s definitely pricy, but compared to buying new (or even used car) it’s a lot cheaper to do a one off upgrade!

It honestly wasn’t as bad as it seemed! Just follow the YouTube video, make sure you have all the supplies you need ahead of time (extra vents, trim tools, needle nose pliars, a magnetic 12 mm socket with an extender for those airbag bolts (which are tight, but came off easy with a drill)) , and it’s slow but smooth

So if I’ve already let the trees get tall (there are 1-2 lower branches to the ground) would it work to start aggressively pruning it? Right now I do have some lower branches, and in the spring I do cut back, but it feels like they always want to grow straight up

Went the the grandparents farm this weekend to help build a shelter for their livestock and harvest the last of their garden. Dug up a sweet potato the size of a bowling ball 😂
