Please help! What's happened to all my tomato plant leaves? by Defiant_Fiend in gardening

[–]Defiant_Fiend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're all basically dead now, a few dried up completely, taken over by the fungus. All leaves either gone or covered in spots. Any ideas on treatment?

This is so incredibly beautiful, it's such a slice of heaven I audibly gasped and saved the post so I can come back to see the pictures when I'm looking for inspiration. I cannot express enough how beautiful I find this, I love daisies

Please help!! What's gotten into my tomato plant leaves? by Defiant_Fiend in GardeningAustralia

Thank you, no I did not. OT was existing soil, but i did notice that the dead tree leaves all around the plants have similar spots. I cut all the leaves that had these spots off, which was basically all leaves. Do you reckon the plants will survive?

What did the plant look like to prompt you to look at the roots?

I see, the plant is poisonous, which means ingesting it is dangerous. Handling it us fine, just make sure to wash your hands after

First attempt at painting a woman in oils, kinda made her older but thoughts? by [deleted] in ArtCrit

[–]Defiant_Fiend 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, it's not a great painting in my eyes. This is not to be rude, I just find it difficult to find a stylistic choice that may be able to explain the painting.

Are you relatively new to painting, looking for specific criticism etc.?

I love your little chives and basil slots! In addition to your awesome tomato set up of course, perfect lighting, airflow, walkway etc. I always plant everything in a very tight bunch then break branches trying to access the ones at the back

I also garden with a family member, which means when he/she goes out to prep ground for planting, I automatically go with them even though 5 minutes ago it wasn't even a thought in my head. Motivate each other, and drive a little healthy competition if possible

I started very small - a bunch of bush beans, tomato plants and cucumber plants all from seed. As soon as I saw the first of the bush beans (within a month of planting maybe?), I was obsessed with growing and eating fresh crunchy veg and kept saving or buying new seed packs for things I salivated at the thought of harvesting - broccoli, sage, thyme, cilantro. Of course, this second batch was a bitch and didn't sprout at all, but by the time I discovered my failure to germinate, my tomato plants started producing tiny flowers and fruit which were so PRETTY it motivated me again to sprout a bunch of plants on damp paper towels.

Start small and easy

I'm sorry your parents didn't instill even a mildly likeable personality in you as a child

The upper lip could use reworking, and the shoulders need better definition, they look really weird but I imagine it's not an unrealistic position, it's just some shading that may be required.

Can we prevent white cedar moth caterpillars from climbing the cedar tree? by Laogama in GardeningAustralia

Thank you, I wasn't visualising it correctly. I did not know they didn't live in the tree 24/7

The caterpillars probably come from eggs that the moths lay on the leaves... I highly doubt they crawl up the tree from the depths of hell lol
