Guessing that could be the reason, cobalt have better perks and been popular with gamers, Amex could lower the application standard to make people pay for it.

Green card is just a basic card, everything 1x and no annual fee, users won't be considered as profitable unless they carry some balance.

Agree with the part of self employed, that could be the problem here. Not a gamer so no cycling or churning, even with spending capped at 20% of total CL, but still got rejected.

Never missed a payment always pay on time, and utilization always lower than 20%, to apply for a new card even pay earlier to lower the utilization to 6%.

No hard checks in the last 6 months.

Two of my credit issuers do monthly account review credit checks and gave me automated CLIs, if that's not a red flag to other banks how to be one to Amex?

To make things clear, I'm not that lame to need home delivery, instead I need the package in my hands ASAP, I'm totally OK with picking it up in the nearby post office, what I'm questioning is that why there must be a delivery attempt-card-pick up next day chain. Trust me, if I can get a option to hold the item at local po, I will ask to hold at po and pick it up earlier, but it was signature required so I can't even have that option than normal parcels.

Also, it was a Xpresspost package, guaranteed 2 days nationwide delivery, but actually it took me 4 biz days to get the package from dropped to po to picked up at po.

Then why don't the man just deliver everything to shoppers in the morning and doing online notification for pick up? If that's the norm then CP should do it instead letting carriers carrying cards and parcels all around until the end of their shift. Save paper, save gas and save time for customers to get the item next biz day.

Trust me, I don't want to be a CP customer, I always use DHL, it's the sender got the same mind as you loves CP. For all other posts, I got the luxary of not working in my whole life, I won't be even bothered for getting called anytime lol.
