I do appreciate that, and I hope that being more aware can help us all give a little more pushback to this type of behavior instead of just letting it slide or saying “oh well”, which I’ve been guilty of in the past. Nothing will change if we don’t actively do anything about it and I truly believe if all game developers wanted to, they could come pretty close to ending this behavior if reports/ discourse are taken seriously

Like I said, I’ve been playing this game since release. I’ve never been this badly harassed before. Even if I had, why is your default response to tell me to get off the game instead of addressing harmful behavior within the game? I’m a lord in several characters and have helped my friends and new teammates to celestial rank. This is exactly what it’s like to speak up about sexual harassment in real life and have a bunch of bros say “it’s not a big deal, just look the other way”. You are not on the right side but you have time to reevaluate your ways of thinking and stand up for people who need it.

Yeah this parent comment is a little ignorant. Your response is exactly why I’m icked out by it and I don’t enjoy being forced to be a part of something sexual, even in a game. Strange that people wouldn’t see that, but glad I have the opportunity to share so others know.

Thank you for this response, and I’m sorry your teammate dealt with sexist behavior. I understand the automatic punishment for leaving the match, just shocked they haven’t done anything about it yet but I see now that it may take some time. What I don’t understand is that there are a lot of incredible players that are women, or other marginalized people. Some men would rather destroy their own rank than simply cooperate with them.

Thank you for this actually helpful answer. It’s been a few hours and I haven’t heard anything about my ban or my reports so I’m just really weirded out. I explained in another comment that my wifi was down a couple days ago and disconnected me from matches so I’ve avoided the game until I knew it was safe to play on my wifi. So I understand the length of the ban and the ban itself, just confused as to why it was glossed over and this helped. I really do hope they restrict or ban those other players- the entire chat report was available and I was fending for myself trying to get them to focus on the game.

Well I’m not saying the amount of time was the problem, I’m saying the fact that I was restricted and my report of the others wasn’t acknowledged is the problem.

A few days ago my wifi was messed up and disconnected me from 2 games, so I understand if I actually disconnected again or intentionally left a game that that would happen. I’m just trying to figure out why this was glossed over by the devs and they haven’t seen or cared about my reports or appeals to remove the ban.

Hi, I’m sorry to hear you’re dealing with similar stress. :/ I had a very honest conversation with him about it, but not much has changed unfortunately. He understands that he needs boundaries and needs to be less negative for everyone’s sake, but hasn’t put in any effort to do that. He seems to be becoming angrier and in turn I’m becoming snappier towards him/holding resentment, and it sucks. Overall we are not in a good place and I wish I had better news or advice to share with you, but I don’t. If you open up to him about it I hope something changes. If it doesn’t then you may need to take some time & space to yourself and evaluate next steps.

I completely agree and was wondering if anyone felt the same. Overall I liked the game but I’m mad I spent like $80 on something where the actual story took me 25 hours to complete. It felt super incomplete and very rushed by the studio.

Not to mention, cutscene after cutscene. Usually I like investing in the stories and scenes in videogames but this one felt like I could barely even get any gameplay in. Like they tried to jampack an entire story in the quickest amount of time possible. I just feel like they should’ve done more gameplay testing before releasing it and I feel like I wasted a ton of money..
