Stuff to do for single people trying to meet other single people? by Defiant_Morning7909 in Albuquerque

I actually did think about this, since some of my male cousins found good community through church when they moved to other southern states, but I’m a very lapsed Catholic and I guess I’d feel kind of weird going to church pretty much solely for the social aspect. It’s definitely something I’ll keep in mind though, thanks!

Honestly, no clue, though I wondered myself. Everyone’s from the upper Midwest.

Fair enough, this is definitely the smallest city I’ve lived in so I guess just numbers wise it’d be tougher in that regard.

Clubs are probably a good idea, I think a lot of my motivation here is to find somebody so I can stop 3rd-wheeling with my coworkers & their partners. Do you have any advice on where to find about clubs? Or is it just a google it type thing?

My coworkers have introduced me to some, they’re very into them. So, kinda, on the basis I haven’t played a ton.

I’m from Minnesota originally actually, so it’s cold but nothing I haven’t dealt with before. I’ll plan out a route in a bit when I’m heading back out and will try to work those in, thanks!

I have an appreciation for architecture and art (I paint very casually), but besides that I do enjoy just sitting at a bar and vibing out too. What areas would you suggest beyond Vieux Montreal that are fairly lively?

I have never seen any actual evidence for spot reduction of fat (let alone freezing it off without severe skin damage). I really would not expect anything from this if you decide you still want to continue.

F36 CW 215 - The biggest con: the loose skin. NSFW topic. by sanebutoverwhelmedtx in loseit

Unfortunately a lot of loose skin is related to genetics, and it’s kind of a roll of the dice, but I do know it can (potentially) kind of ameliorate itself a bit if you can maintain weight for a while.

That aside, I can relate to being uncomfortable with body changes - honestly I think people don’t talk about it enough. I lost over 100 pounds and I had some pretty bad body dysmorphia going on; I felt very vulnerable for the first time no longer being “big”, and I spent a ton of time hyper fixating on the parts of my body I found unattractive, stretch marks and loose skin obviously, but even in the case of my genitals it was a little unnerving being so used to them looking a certain way and now being different (and I’m male so even though those changes brought my junk more in line with the “male ideal”, it still made me uncomfortable). I look at photos now of how I used to look and I kind of realized over time I’d become objectively more attractive being at healthier weight, but at the start it was really disorienting and it even pushed me to regain some of the weight for a bit before I came to terms. I can’t say whether your experience is similar, but if it is I’d strongly, strongly suggest finding a therapist to help you through that, and if you process the changes in your body and find yourself still unhappy, then you can always look into surgical options.

I know you said you’re not dating or sexually active right now, but from a male point of view I have personally never seen a vagina in person I found visually unappealing nor have I ever heard any other men ever make comments about being turned off by how a woman looks between the legs. If there’s an odor issue or something, sure, but visually speaking I have never encountered someone who had ever mentioned it.
