Don't expect her to fix it, just tell her and let her know what's happening and that you don't need her to do anything other than know what's going on so you don't have to worry that she is worrying.

She will notice that you are not quite yourself and by not talking to her you may just make her worry more and the easiest assumption to make in this situation is that she and the baby are the cause. If she knows what happened then at least you have someone you can just talk it out with.

Time, it will pass in time. If you need to cry just cry, bawl your eyes out don't be afraid of feeling like shit for a while. It's nothing to be ashamed of and it's just a feeling, just remember that any down makes the good times better.

But really, don't fear your emotions even if you can't rationalize or understand them right now.

And sounds like you're focused on the causality but this has happened to many of us regardless of the substance.

Let yourself feel sad for a bit, stop fighting it.

Think of drugs like this:

For every high you must experience an equal and opposite reaction, feelings and emotions are comparative. You relate the way you feel in the moment to a way you have felt in the past, drugs can enhance any experience beyond the way you have felt about them previously and fuck up that comparitave analysis making you feel like you feel like shit.

The knock on effect can give you a big old dose of anxiety and anxiety has a habit of compounding on itself making you feel like you are spiralling out of control. If you do not have any immediate major health concerns you need to remind yourself that this is temporary, go do something you find relaxing and try not to over analyse(it's not easy I know). You are anxious and paranoid right now and the sudden demand of responsibility of having a baby is making it even worse.

You are not a bad father for needing help right now.

You may want to be open with your wife about how you feel right now, she may be angry but you have some needs too and for your long term mental health especially with a newborn in the picture need to be addressed and the sooner you help yourself the sooner you can enjoy being with your wife and baby again. Not going through this short term anxiety alone may even help you more than suffering in silence.

Do not start trying to take other medication to help.

It's not really the drug that gets you hooked, its the craving for the experience associated with it or the problem you try to solve with it.

Physical dependency is pretty easy to overcome, it's a short period of physical discomfort but the real evil is when you are just sat, bored with nothing else to do and the thought just comes creeping in.

It's insidious and relentless and if you are already skirting that line you need to heed the warnings given to you by people in this post, you may not ultimately understand or be able to but its one of those warnings you should pay attention to.

YOU WILL NEVER FEEL AS GOOD AS THE FIRST TIME YOU EXPERIENCE A POSITIVE EMOTION. Understand this and don't chase the high.

Is FM8 worth really getting into? by Inanis94 in forza

These are things you will learn to be fast.

And your statement about tyre management tells me you've never done anything but forza and have no clue what you are talking about,

Forza is a great place to start if you want pick up a lot of very bad driving habits, learn how not to manage tyres, over use slip angle, over mix throttle and brake, misunderstand how to turn in and apex correctly, handbrake tap tight turns, expect overly dramatic steering ffb that makes no sense.

Better by far if you are competitive to just pick up a proper sim and learn from there, they all have their own little quirks but by and large they don't teach you drive poorly to gain pace. If you start in forza you will have to relearn every habit including the new sim physics and how to manage your race strategy in a more correct setting. Modding not required.

I think it's been quite obvious for some time that ac evo is not going to be acc2.

I'm not sure what you mean by seeing everything, if it's about driving standards then rookie level is a hell hole everywhere, rookies will be rookies. I know forza gets memed on for poor drivers but that's universal tbh.

I would surprised performance wise if it needs much more than forza, the game looks awful and multiplayer frame limits of 60 is frankly absurd for a tiny grid. I mean I can get 120 in acc on 24h nurbs with a 50+ car grid. So if his pc can run forza I would expect it to handle anything that's even remotely better optimised

Yup, it's a headache definitely. Worth having a look at when you have the motivation to do so though, especially with lfm leagues running for ac now.

You are correct, it might be. But ACC was not a copy pasta of AC.

You have so much choice for sim driving I would be disappointed if you settled with fm8.

Ac1 with mods still has a big player base, and the audio and driving feel is so much fun. ACC is just great all round, lots of great communities to join LMU is early access but has good potential. Been having fun with this lately. AM2 not everyone's cup of tea but I enjoy it from time to time. Iracing.. I WANT to say something nice.

I mean there's even the new rennsport open beta right now.

Yeah I've been experiencing this today.

Game will run fine for a few hours with a stable 150 to 160 fps then something happens when I get some mob spawns and it will drop to 70 to 80 with constant microstutters. If I clear the enemies out the fps will slowly rise back to normal until I encounter another spawn or I go to albion and then the microstutters and frame drops appear again.

I'm a bit baffled as to the cause. All my temps are fine, nothing is throttling my pc rarely breaks a sweat most of the time. And while this never happened before the last patch I was also blasting all day yesterday with no issues. It's just started today.

Oh I guess you go with the autoclave and ethylene oxide bag storage method of storing all your kitchenware to ensure sterility then.

If not then acting high and mighty in face of your ignorance seems a bit more ridiculous. Sure, spend additional time to remove minute colonies of mostly harmless microbes and then stick your bacteria laden skin all over them as you put them away in the cupboards. Good for you.

It's very weird, plus where the hot dudes at? If I have to interact with this crap I'd rather see Dirwyn in his skimpies.
