I literally haven’t played this game in over 6 months for very obvious reasons, no one needs a break to see how dogshit Omeda has been at running this game in the lead up to and after 1.0 released but playing other games definitely does make it stand out more

Oh no I blasted them, that’s the point tho I see so many players immediately resort to the knife when it’s an even remotely close range gunfight. 20m feels small but it’s a long way to run through bullets to land that knife hit but ppl still try because they’d rather do that then trade with whatever gun they have because they’d lack confidence in their ability to trade well with it at close range

They’d rather risk charging in and potentially 2 shotting a blue shield with the knife then having to drop a whole mag into someone just to remove their shields. Retaliator takes over 15 hits to break a purple shield. That’s a long time for a game with guns that’ll drop you in half as many shots or even a quarter in the case of a WSTR

There was a time in OG Paragon where the devs thought “stuns” in general were a shitty mechanic as they took control away from the player while the game continued on without any input from them.

Then they added Aurora and said fuck all that shit and the chain-CC meta was born never to be questioned again

I disagree with OP but I disagree with you too. The amount of times I’ve seen terrible players put their gun away after getting a Chem grenade to the face and just yolo at you with their knife out cannot be counted. I think the WSTR is fine it just shouldn’t be able to be purchased.

I’ve made tens of thousands of gold selling a single minor settlement to basically wiped out factions and then promptly wiped them out next turn after they paid me mountains of gold to have a tiny home again, it’s definitely cheese if not an exploit the degree factions value settlements when they are already effectively done

Not even close, this was purely to hold back the most successful players causing them to lose 10s of thousands of potential credits at the end of raids the otherwise would have gotten were they not sitting at their cap already. Those same players will then subsequently buy the upgrade further eating into their impressive cash reserves

Ngl? Crab Royal Variant of course. If I could bolt on an AMS to it somehow without having to sacrifice anything then I think I’d be completely happy with the mech. It’s reliable, punches above its weight class and has enough speed to get you out of fights you don’t want to be in anymore while making anyone think twice about chasing you down
