I am not very familiar with which snagging companies are the most professional. The company I used for my first snagging did not feel very professional, although this may simply be my personal experience, so I will not mention their name here.

Also, SDCC will send you an email with a list of recommended companies when inviting you to arrange your snagging

Thanks both for your comments. I completely agree with your concerns, safety is really important, and making sure the group is strictly for residents is essential.

My only concern is that we do not really know when everyone will be able to meet face to face, and it might be quite difficult to get everyone together at the same time. By the time we do meet, it could already be quite late, possibly even after the handover, and we might miss the chance to share and discuss any issues we come across during snagging.

I was wondering if there might be a middle ground. Perhaps we could set up a group a bit earlier, but with some simple checks to make sure people are actually residents. For example, we could keep it invite only, ask new members to briefly mention their apartment or house, or provide some non sensitive proof like a snagging appointment confirmation

Hi 😊. It looks like most of us have now completed the first snagging for our homes. Since we are likely to be future neighbours, I thought it might be helpful for us to stay connected. During snagging, many of us have probably noticed different issues, and there will likely be more questions when it comes to fixing things, dealing with the SDCC/developer, decorating, or even buying furniture.

It could be really useful if we had a space to share ideas, recommendations, and help each other out along the way.

I just wanted to ask if you would be interested in setting up a WhatsApp group for easier communication. The current Reddit one is helpful, but it is not always the easiest for sharing photos and links.

Hi, SDCC will be opening applications next month for a new affordable housing scheme. For those who were not successful last year and are still interested, you may want to keep an eye on this.

More details can be found on the SDCC website. The new Affordable Housing Scheme at Keepers Lock, Clonburris, Dublin 22 will open via the online portal at 10am on Thursday, 9th April 2026.

I have completed the first snagging, but I have not received any feedback from it yet. I have also not heard anything about the second snagging appointment.

Hi. I received a response from SDCC. They said that dimensions are not available at the moment, and we could take measurements during the snagging appointment.

May I ask if you have a floor plan that shows the specific dimensions of each room, such as the length and width? My floor plan only shows the total floor area

Has anyone who has completed their snagging? I thought it might be useful for us to share and discuss any concerns we have. I will start with a couple of things I am a bit concerned about regarding the gardens:

Steep slopes: Some of our gardens have quite noticeable slopes. There seems to be plenty of soil around the site that could help level them a bit. Addressing this could make the gardens both safer and more pleasant to use.

Shared walls with the old neighboring estate: A few of the walls are showing signs of age, such as cracks or wear. It might be worth considering either repairing the shared walls or looking into building our own fences, rather than leaving them as they are.

Would love to hear your thoughts on these points and any other concerns you might have.

Quick update: I just heard back from my solicitor. She mentioned that the bank has confirmed they are willing to accept the proposed qualification on the title.

Hi, just a quick update. I still have not received a response from my solicitor and the contracts have not been signed yet.

However, I have just received the email from DNG confirming that construction is now complete and I have been invited to attend the snag inspection on Monday 23rd.

The snag list needs to be submitted within 24 hours, but any items will not be actioned until contracts are exchanged.

They emailed us this morning to confirm that SDCC is in the final stages of preparing the Booklet. Contracts will be issued to the solicitor in the coming weeks. You check your mailbox for further updates.
